ISABELLE'S POV
Walking up to Adam's house, I was trying to fight back tears.I hadn't even made it to the door yet and it swung open, there stood Adam.
"Hi, Iz."
"Hey."
"You're leaving aren't you?" He said and looked down at his feet.
"Yeah. I am." I said, my heart breaking.
"Hey. It's gonna be okay." He said, coming over and hugging me.
"I'm fine. Um... so can we sit out here and talk?"
"Yeah. I got you something." He said and reached behind the door , handing me a pink camouflaged duffel bag.
"Awe. You didn't have to get me anything."
"I know that. Just open it."
I unzipped the bag and pulled out a sketch pad and a poop emoji pencil case, filled with art supplies. Next, I pulled out a scrapbook. The cover had a picture of me and Adam from the day we met and foam stickers that spelled out "Adam and Izzy".
Opening it i saw pictures from every moment ofnour friendship and relationship. And i starting crying as I came across our tickets from the rascal flatts concert we eent to. There he kisssed me and asked me to be his girlfriend on live tv.
"Hey. You okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine," I said, quickly wipeing away the tears. "Just all the memories. I guess I'm just being emotional."
I went back to looking through the bag. I pulled out a little plastic lunch baggie with blood stained fishnet gloves in them.
"Oh my god. You still have these?"
"I'd never get rid of a memory."
"Wow. There's still blood on them."
"Yeah. We never were able to get it all off."
I started laughing as I reached further into the bag and a little black box with a lavender ribbon.
"What's this?"
"Open it and find out."
I opened it revealing two silver necklaces. One was a heart lock, the other was a key. And there were matching earrings.
"Ad, there beautiful."
"Just remember," he said putting my the key around my neck, "you'll always have the key to my heart."
"I love you, Ad." I said, choking back tears.
"I love you too."
I have to break up with him, I thought. I can't leave without doing this. I don't want to break his heart but I have to.
"Ad?"
"Yeah."
"We need to break up."
"What? Did I do something wrong?" He asked, confused.
"No. I just can't do the whole long distance thing. It would be too hard on me."
"Oh... I understand."
"Um... well I better go."
"Uh... right. I love you, Izzy."
"I love you too. Bye, Ad." I said and left.
