Tom had been in Detroit for almost three weeks. He currently sat in his seat in the makeup trailer, getting ready for a day of shooting. Stella, his designated makeup artist had just finished putting the makeup on his skin to make him pale and was placing the wig onto his head when he heard his phone ping, signaling a text.
"Is that your girl texting you this early in the morning?" Stella asked with a smirk on her face. She loved to tease him about Ann.
"I don't know why you keep calling her mine Stella," he replied as he grabbed his phone from the table in front of him. "We've only been on one date."
Stella rolled her eyes as she began to place the paste around his hairline so the wig would stay in place. "You talk about her constantly and always wonder what she's doing. Ann is the only thing on your mind besides your lines and actions for this movie."
Tom chuckled as he unlocked his phone and looked at the message Ann had sent him, causing him to grin. "I'm not going to argue with you," he stated.
"That's because you know I'm right," Stella countered as she continued her work. "What did she say?"
"Just a simple good morning," he replied.
"A good morning text got that famous smile on your face?" Stella asked with a giggle, then laughed even more once she noticed Tom blushing.
"She's on her way to work," he explained. "We always tell each other good morning, it's become a routine."
Stella smiled as she began to apply makeup around his hairline since the wig was now in place. "I know I haven't met her, but you two are super cute. When will you get to see her again?"
Tom couldn't help but grin. "I'll see her again in two weeks. We'll all have a few days off for the holiday, so I am going to meet up with her."
"That's so sweet!" Stella gushed. "It sounds like one of those romance movies."
"I don't know about all of that," Tom countered. "We haven't even kissed yet."
Stella's jaw dropped, then smiled wide. "That's even cuter! Oh Tom, you have no idea how adorable this is."
He laughed and shook his head at her just as another text came through on his phone. "I may send her some photos from set today. Just a picture or two of me."
"You can do that if you'd like," Stella replied. "Are you trying to make her drool?" she teased.
"Stella," he laughed just as she stepped away and began to throw away the trash she'd made by getting him ready for the day.
"I know, I know. I'll stop teasing."
Tom removed the cape from around his neck, revealing the set of scrubs that he wore, having already been to wardrobe. "The hospital scenes aren't that much, so we should knock these out quick."
Stella nodded as she handed him a surgeon's mask and cap. "That's right. I'll put the mask on you when needed when we get on set, as well as the cap."
He nodded, then grinned. "Let's get the day started!"

Tom sat back on his hotel bed with his laptop in his lap later that evening. He'd just gotten out of the shower and just dressed in a pair of sweats when he decided to Skype call Ann. He smiled at seeing her face when she answered his call. "It's so nice to see you."
Ann grinned at him on her own screen. "It's good to see you too. Did shooting go well for you today doctor?" she asked, then chuckled.
"I see that you did get my text this afternoon. You'll be surprised to hear me say that I'm not a doctor in the movie. It's just a disguise."
