As promised, here is the rest of Cloudborn's chapter plans! I'll add notes to each chapter pertaining (if applicable) to what I wanted as well when I originally thought of the story!

Enjoy~!

Chapter 17

Later that night, Fog meets with Mudslide and tells the hybrid to inform Downpour that he has the MoonWing scroll she is looking for. Mudslide begins panicking, saying that Permafrost used a MoonWing scroll to control his army and that Downpour was going to repeat Permafrost's horrible actions and that he wanted no part in it. Fog calms Mudslide down and tells Mudslide that he'll keep the scroll until Downpour comes for it herself.

Mudslide then states how similar Fog and Permafrost were. Fog points out how he is nothing like Permafrost, and Mudslide explains that he was a part of the cult that started the Dark Revolt, and how he watched how Permafrost dived into insanity. He tells Fog that Fog is showing the same signs, and to watch his actions before it's too late. Mudslide leaves to tell Downpour, leaving Fog to himself. Fog flies, heading to Cloud's cave, reassuring himself that he is not evil and that his actions are for the best. As he flies, he writes on his enchanted scroll, ending the chapter with the thought "Nothing will be the same after this..."

(He is placing invincibility spells on Pulsar to keep her safe.)

Chapter 18

Fog and Downpour meet up again, and Fog confides in his Aunt about Pulsar and how he wants to keep her safe. Downpour agrees to make sure she is not targeted, and the two makes plans to storm the palace tomorrow. Fog then asks around to find Waterspout and starts telling Waterspout that he needs him to keep Sandstorm and Blizzard away, causing Waterspout to become suspicious. The Flock leader begins to question Fog on his motives, and Fog reminds him of their deal. Waterspout had enough and says he leaving with Pulsar, and flies off to get her in Cloud's cave.

Chapter 19

Fog and Waterspout arrive in Cloud's cave, where Pulsar and Cloud are examining the MoonWing scroll. Pulsar gives Fog a message, acting shy and clearly flustered at the thought of Fog reading it. Waterspout begins trying to take Pulsar away, but Fog insists she stays. Pulsar pulls away and asks what's going on, and Waterspout spills what Fog wanted him to do, which causes Cloud and Pulsar to question Fog. Fog says it's a part of his plan to free his name, but Waterspout puts up an argument on how this has to do with clearing his name. Waterspout claims he is protecting Pulsar, but then Fog spills the beans about Pulsar's mother, claiming that a father who hides such a truth is not worthy of protecting anything. Fog says he wants to protect Pulsar, causing Cloud to question what Fog wants to protect her from.

Chapter ends with Fog realizing he must reveal his plans to his friends.

Chapter 20

Fog reveals his plans to overthrow Cumulus and replace her with Downpour, explaining his motives but saying that he cared for Pulsar too much to use her, and that he wanted to keep her safe while all this happened. He reveals that he placed invincibility spells on her to keep her from dying, and basically confesses that he loves her. Pulsar is torn, and Waterspout leaves, saying that Pulsar can either stay with an evil dragon or leave with him. He storms out and calls for Pulsar to meet him at the bell tower. Fog is left frozen in despair, knowing that his plan might fall apart. Cloud says he wants nothing to do with Fog's plans anymore and tries to leave, but Fog quickly reminds him that he can't leave the cave without help due to his wingless nature, manipulating Cloud into staying in the cave. Pulsar screams at Fog to stop, and Fog says he can't, he's too far in, and he can't stop now. He says he sorry to Pulsar and leaves, taking the note Pulsar had written for him with him. He lands outside in the mountains, watching an incoming storm. He takes out the note and reads it, then pulls out his scroll as he flies towards the Bell tower. He first enchants Waterspout to do everything he says, then he starts to write another enchantment, and then another. He ends the chapter thinking "This is how it shall be,"
