(Last Night)
Sokka have been ominously side eyeing you ever since you and Aang fought with Zuko, you tried to ignore him but at some point the whispers and tongue clicking every two seconds got the best of you.

"Okay Sokka, spit it out."
"I don't speak to the enemy y/n, if that is your real name." He sat by the fire and looked at you weirdly.
"I think she has proven that she was on our side Sokka, although, I do want to know more about you too y/n." Katara said while throwing wood in the fire.
"Okay, if that's what you all want." You sighed and laid down, you stared at the night sky and wondered where did all these stars come from. You have been in the city for too long and forgot how beautiful the night sky was. "I am Fire Nati-"
"Ah - Ha! I knew it! All the Flirting with Prince ponytail looked sus to me." Sokka jumped up and pointed at you.
"I wasn't flirting with Zuko! Let me finish dumbass!"
"Dumbass who!?" He was coming at you but Katara grabbed him by the hood of his coat and he fell on his buttocks.
"My Father is from the Fire Nation, and he married my Mom Yiazara from the Southern Water Tribe."
"How romantic, two totally opposite personalities colliding into a beautiful romantic relationship." Katara said with bright eyes. She sat down and got closer to hear about the story.

"My mother ran away when she was a teenager, my grandmother said that she was in age for marriage but she didn't want to marry yet. So she ran away to the Earth Kingdom and that's where she met my Father."

"What was he doing in the earth kingdom?" Aang said while floating to sit next to you.

"He was General Iroh's apprentice at the time and he was in Ba sing Se when they tried to get pass the wall. He was an undercover refugee and its there that he met my mom. So after having a relationship my father convinced her to move to the capital when he got promoted as a commander, and they had me."
Katara and Aang were captivated by your story but Sokka was buying none of it.

"What are you doing here then? So far from the comfort and protection of the Fire Nation."
Sokka said sarcastically he turned his back on you and looked at the fire. The flames were bright orange and the heat was hitting his face, and strangely it smelled good.

"My mom was murdered a month ago, by soldiers who were under my Father's command." You looked down to your feet and buried your face in your crossed arms. "They were drunk and discovered that my mom was from the water tribe, they concluded that she was a spy or some crap of the sort and burned her to death." You paused and wiped your tears, you didn't have much time to grief. You didn't sleep well for nights and when you did nightmares kept tormenting you. The only nights you slept well was when the old lady welcomed you to her home and the day you almost froze to death when Sokka found you. All you felt was anger and loneliness, being misunderstood by your father, having to serve in the army and seeing the murderers every day was too much to take. You looked at Sokka with eyes full of tears and yelled. "So yes Sokka I once belonged to a Nation that spread hate and chaos in this world, but if you think that ever single people from there are as bad as the Fire-lord! Then you are wrong!"

TIME SKIP/PRESENT TIME.
You laid down and stared at the sky for almost 10 hours while everyone else was sleeping, Sokka's snores kept you awake and so did your thoughts.

You did a full speech on how not everyone in the fire nation is bad but you yourself wasn't so sure of that. You got up and walked in the nearby woods, you stripped down Sokka's coat you borrowed last time and remained in your cropped top and pants. You sat at a tree's roots and closed your eyes to meditate. You heard lots of birds chirping and the gentle rustling the wind made through the trees' leaves. You took a deep breathe in and out, but images and memories came crushing to you like flashes of lightning during a thunderstorm. You opened your eyes and sighed, you sat there for a moment and waited for the GAang to wake up.
