Samantha
"What I'm going to wear, what I'm going to wear." I spoke to myself as I walked in front of my large wardrobe looking at the clothes I had.
With a dark palette ranging from black to white with some gray in the middle, it was the composition of the clothes in my closet. I didn't wear colorful clothes, I always preferred neutrals. They say that the way we dress reflects who we are, if that includes colors I am sure mine reflect my temperament. I laughed at myself.
I looked out the window, the day dawned cloudy today. My parents ended up spending the night at my aunt's house and would only be back tonight, which was fantastic since I could easily circumvent my punishment and leave to Austral with Leander.
I spent all night remembering yesterday. That kiss, I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss. It was hot, soft and moist as I imagined, but of course I had to ruin everything by biting him, his warm blood stayed in my mouth and as I expected it is delicious.
In fact I do not know how he did not feel pain or became this thing that I am, I have never bitten someone and let the person alive to know what happens. Not knowing much about this new "me" bothers me a lot and the things I find in books are just ridiculous myths.
I don't have time to think about these things, I have to leave before my brother wakes up. I was still facing the closet but now one of the sliding doors had been closed and I was staring at the big mirror in it.
I looked at myself for a while, I was still in black lingerie - the dark palette was valid for the underwear too - which even fit well for my medium-sized bust and not-so-wide hips.
The symmetry was always very visible and I believe that humans also noticed this constantly, I had even gotten used to the looks of men and women on the streets.
I ran my hand through my hair, tossing it aside a little while I looked at myself, the marks of my fight with the bear I hunted were still there.
I fished out of the wardrobe a pair of black jeans and a blouse of the same color that was so short that I called it a top since I never understood about clothes, neither their names. I added my denim jacket and a short boot with a small heel.
I took a last look in the mirror brushing my hair with my hands, put my cell phone and wallet in the jacket's inner pockets and finally put on a red lipstick. I don't usually wear makeup, but I made an exception today for a lipstick.
I teleported to the Micelar train station. The place was not very crowded since it was Sunday morning and the few people who were there must have been changing trains.
It wasn't very big, there were 6 platforms. There was a tower with a central clock, which I went around, on one side were the ticket booths that were close to the main entrance and on the other were the roulettes.
The ceiling was very high and made of glass which made the station a greenhouse on sunny days, the walls had an old architecture and in some parts we saw paintings or art with mosaics.
I walked towards the main entrance away from the clock tower. I thought about looking for Leander at the main entrance, but from the outside since I should be waiting there.
"Samantha!" Leander shouted and I turned looking for him. He came running towards me. "Glad you came! I already bought the tickets!" He said as he got over the race and showed me the train passes.
"What if I couldn't make it?" I said laughing.
"I was sure you would come. He smiled and winked at me. "And you came in a way to leave me speechless." He ran a hand through his hair and looked me up and down with a smile.
