I woken up by something ringing and pain shooting throughout my body. I whimpered as i forced myself to get up. I realized it was my phone. I limped towards and seen noah's name. I slowly picked the phone up and hit the green button.
" Y/n why didn't you tell any of us that you weren't coming to school. When you didn't show up to Liam and my class we thought you were just running late but you never miss Mia's class so we were worried about you. We've been calling and texting you for an hour now" I went to go say something but i went into a coughing fit the caused nothing but pain. I let out a groan.
" Y/n are you sick?"
" c-code 15" i stuttered out
" Code 15...... How bad are you y/n 1-10"
"8 i can s-still w-walk kind o-of"
" Alright grab what you need ill be at your house exactly in 10 mins" He hung up
I dragged myself to my dresser and got my clothes for the day. I got dressed slowly and grabbed my charger and phone. I had extra clothes and stuff at Noah's he's like the sibling i don't have. Noah is 28. He doesn't really speak to his family. When I first met him i was in 8th grade. He was a sub for a few of my teachers and we clicked since then. He tried to help me with the home situation but my step dad has some type of authority on the police and all that that they ignored his claim multiple times so he stopped doing that realizing it's not working and just keeps me at his for a few days.

I was knocked out of my thoughts by a text from Noah telling me hes here. I quietly opened my door and closed it. I quietly limp down the steps and peek towards the livingroom to see my step dad sleep with a bottle of alcohol. Thank god i mumbled and limped towards the front door and left. As I limped towards Noah's car he got out and helped me in the car and got back in it.
" Kid you need to hurry up and turn 18 and graduate because soon or later your gonna give me a heart attack" he said while shaking his head and pulling off.

We pulled up to the school and we got out. He told me since today is Friday i could room hop because they all have free periods. He dropped me off at Olivia's classroom. Mia and her were talking when we walked in. They turned around I took my hood off and concern was written all over there face.
" Y/n are you okay? where does it hurt? should i go get the nurse" Olivia said.
" Liv i'm f-" i went into a coughing fit. When it stopped i sighed" I'm fine liv it doesn't hurt as much as when i woke up"
" Y/n you are not fine. Have you seen yourself at all" i shook my head. She pulled out her phone and gave it to me. I put it on the camera and i was shook.
