Chapter 3

Your POV

Normani and I were having a conversation about Beyoncé when Arin walked back in.

" Hey bab- I mean Ms. Kordei I didn't realize you had a student "

" hey Arin no need to be formal it's just y/n still here"

He looked at me " Y/L/N"

I just rolled my eyes at him which he couldn't see because I still had my shades on.

" is she giving you any problems cause if she is I-"

" Arin she's fine we were just talking about Beyoncé and stuff. She's actually nice compared to many students so just calm down please"

He just sighed knowing I got the lead in this one. I smirked and he kissed the side of her head and walked out the classroom. She sighed and looked at me.

" I'm sorry about him he has a jealousy problem and stuff.. and a problem with you" she mumbled the last part but I still heard.

" It's fine I mean shit I would be a little insecure if a fine ass person was trying to talking to my girl too" I said smiling while she laughed. " but what's the story behind you guys" I asked once her laughter died down.

" He was my high school lover. We were on again off again. It was a little toxic but we made it work. He did something and I left him for good so I thought until we seen each other the other day and the feelings was there he asked me on a date and apologized for everything so we're working on building it back up I guess"

" how did he pull you" I said while shaking my head.

" when I find out I'll let you know" she said with a goofy smile. We were staring at each other until the bell rung. I shook my head and got up.

" I'm going for a walk I'll be back by class time" I said then walked out.

( about 10mins into the walk)

I'm currently pinned against a wall by one of Lucas minions while receiving hits all over my upper body. My body is already in all types of pain from my beating last night this just made it worse.

My body dropped to the floor as I started receiving kicks everywhere once I received a kick to the face I blacked out.

I started to wake up as I felt something fell on top of my legs. I hissed because of the pain that shot through my body. I opened my eyes and looked around it's a little dark but what I can make out I'm in a closet. I pushed the object that fell on me off. I tried to get up but the pain was unbearable. I sat there thinking about what I did to deserve beatings at home and at school.

After a while I finally felt like I built enough strength to get up. When I do sharp pain shoots through my whole body. I groaned. " okay y/n come on you got this just get to Normani's class" i said out loud.

I took the rest of my energy I had and rushed out the closet and to Normani's room. Thank god I wasn't too far from it. When I get there her back is turned and she's she's on the phone.

" bitch I know that's illegal but I'm attracted to her somehow it's crazy you know like I don't even think about arin during anything anymore it's just h- ima call you back" she said finally turning around right when I felt myself giving out.

" y/n what happened to you" she said rushing over and helping me over to her chair.

" ya know I fell from a tree" i said Trying to be funny. She just gave me this look.

She brought me to the desks next to hers and sat me down slowly.

" y/n" she said touching my face gently. I looked at her in the eye.

" what happened and who did it" she asked.

" don't worry about it Normani I'm fine I'm used to this"

" used to it" she said kinda shocked.

" y/n this isn't your first time of this happening" she asked.

"No" i said

She sighed. She went to go say something else but Noah and then walked in.

" our meetings are done normani I hope she wasn't any problems she's not the best with new peo- what the hell happened" Noah said running to me.

" Noah I'm fine" i said.

" it was Lucas wasn't it.. I'm gonna hit that piece of sh-"

" Noah" I said in a warning tone then the bell went off.

" I'm sitting right next to him. Normani where does he sit" he asked. She pointed to the seat and Noah sat there waiting for my classmates to come in liv and mia left.

" can't believe they hit me in my beautiful face how else am I suppose to flirt with you" i said jokingly to normani.

" by being you" she said then started to put papers on each kids desk while I was there in shock.
