Nancy laid on her bed, her shift was in an hour and she lived ten minutes away from the Fire House. She hadn't slept at all; her mind was too full. She almost died. Her Captain kissed her. She yelled at her Captain and is now probably fired.

"Oh God what if I'm fired?!" she sat up, panicked, "My Captain has a crush on me. No. Do I have a crush on my Captain. No. But god is she hot when she yells and gives order—No! Fuck!" she yelled and jumped out of her bed.

Aiden lay in her bed; her shift was in an hour and she was already in her Captain's room. She couldn't sleep; her head was full of too many things. The fact she had kissed one of her Firefighters, then blown whatever thing they had beforehand.

"Oh God what if I—ya know what. I don't even know" she huffed and climbed out of her bed.

"Morning Captain" Hammond smiled and walked with her as they headed upstairs to the gym.

"Lieutenant" she smirked as they walked in.

"So what happened between you and newbie" Hammond grabbed the boxing gloves and started strapping them on.

"What do you mean?" she asked innocently and went straight to the treadmill.

"I know you Aiden. I know when somethings happened between you and another human being, and something has happened between you and Rookie hottie" he winked.

Aiden and Dominic were in the academy together, she helped him get through the mental work while he helped her through the physical work. When they graduated and both landed here it was the best thing ever, better yet, Dominic was the one who supported her to take the Captain's exam. If it weren't for him, she would still be a rookie Firefighter like the one she kis—

"Nothing happened between Owens and I" she told him and started running.

He gave her a look that said, tell me the truth or I'll get it out of you my way, she knew that look oh to well.

She sighed, "I kissed her, I know I shouldn't have but I think I'm in love this girl" she slowed down, and Dominic stopped punching and stood with his mouth wide open.

"Mouth closed please; I can feel your judgmental breath on me" she groaned.

"You kissed one of your Firefighters then made them go on hydrant duty which you know can piss of any of us. All because of..." he trailed off.

"Because I care about her and I think I love her, there I said it" Aiden stopped the machine and jumped off.

"I'm just, shook. Captain Aiden O'Connor cares for someone... oh lord, this is a blessed day" he joked as she slapped him with her towel and the two ran out when they heard the siren go off.

"Truck 16, Truck 23, Ambulance 14, Structure fire..."

"Well, we haven't had one of these since Captain played hero last week" Tripp joked as Mills slapped his arm and they all shoved on their gear and climbed in the trucks.

"Captain, welcome back" One of the battalion chiefs form another Fire House shook her hand when they arrived at the scene.

"What's the plan, sir?" she asked him.

"The fire started during a science project; the air is poisoned with toxins from whatever they were brewing. It's made it harder to see and some of the students passed out, so we need you guys to get them out and fast. Who knows what they inhaled?" he sighed as she nodded.

"Alright, masks on, grab a kid and bring them out as fast as you can" she told them as they all nodded. She caught Nancy staring at her, but she ignored her and walked in with the team following her.
