Time flies when you are having fun. And boy is that true, Nancy and Aiden had been working tirelessly for the past month trying to figure out where and when and how the hell they're going to pull of this wedding. Aiden was ecstatic when the word, yes, rolled of Nancy's tongue. She immediately texted Hammond and he told everyone at the Fire House. Noel was still at the Police Station being question but that didn't bother Nancy because here they were, unloading her boxes from the jeep and bringing them into Aiden's house.
Nancy was wearing blue dungarees with her hair in a long ponytail and a red head band. Aiden however was wearing a grey vest with black ripped jeans; her hair was tied into a bun as she dropped one of the last boxes inside.
Nancy crept up behind Aiden and wrapped her arms round her middle, "How did I get so lucky?" she whispered.
"You didn't get lucky" Aiden turned around and placed both hands on her fiancée's cheeks, "You got me" she smiled and pulled her into a kiss.
They pulled apart and held each other, "Shift is in a few minutes, let's start getting ready" Aiden booped her nose.
They grabbed all their things before climbing in the now clear jeep and driving to the station, just as they pulled into the car park and walked inside, the team cheered, and confetti was tossed up in the air.
"Congratulations!" Hammond yelled, this was the third time the team had done this, and Aiden was positive they were only doing this repeatedly because they ordered too much confetti online.
"Thank you, again. But seriously, get back to work" Aiden told t hem in a serious tone.
She kissed Nancy's cheek before heading to her office, Mills and Rosen strolled over to her and grabbed he arms, "We are going out and it will be your somewhat bachelorette party" Rosen explained making sure to use a tone that said, Just so you know you have no choice and this is nonnegotiable.
"Okay, but it has to be tonight after shift because we finally found a date and we can get married next week" she smiled as the two women squealed in excitement.
"Let us see it though" Rosen told her as Nancy showed them the gorgeous rig that sat on her ring finger.
"Sweet Satan" Mills clutched her chest and stared in awe at the ring.
"I can't believe this is really happening" Nancy chuckled.
"Me neither sister" Rosen patted her back as they headed to the locker room.
Everyone was gathered in the lounge room, most of them were watching the news but Aiden and Nancy were sat at the table making phone calls and signing checks.
"This is it ladies and gentlemen, look" Tripp motioned to the TV where a woman stood in an office room.
"After a long wait our terrorist has struck again, another building has caught fire and the Police Department are currently chasing the suspect from the scene—" the woman was interrupted by the siren going off.
"Truck 16, Truck 23, Ambulance 14, Structure fire" they all ran to the trucks and shoved their heads in gear.
They drove to the scene as fast as possible, waiting for this all week the adrenaline was almost too much to handle. Finally being able to do something that would make all of them so damn happy.
They all reached the scene and umped out of the trucks, they knew what they needed to do so they shove don their masks as fast as they could and paired off, running inside, and exploring the building.
Nancy and Aiden walked up the stairs together, "I'm thinking red velvet cake. What about you, baby?" Aiden asked Nancy as they scanned the stairs for any stragglers.
"I dunno, I was never really a cake person" she sighed as Aiden laughed.
"How?! Cake is life" she said in disbelief.
"In here!" Nancy yelled as they kicked open the door to one of the rooms, there was a small amount of fire around the room, they put half of it out and scanned the room for any victims.
"Aiden, look at this!" Nancy yelled to her fiancée as Aiden ran to her and they both stared at the unlabeled boxes.
Nancy opened it to reveal a small grenade that started when she pulled the flap up and that took out the pin, "AIDEN RUN!" she yelled and they both ran to the back of the room.
Hammond and Tripp were exploring the floor as they picked up two victims and made their way to the stairwell, just as they did a loud explosion went off and sent them back.
Hammond was the first to get up as he touched his forehead and felt the blood trickling own the side of his face, he stumble dover to Tripp and shook him awake. He noticed that his shoulder was out of place and Tripp saw it too.
"Do it" Tripp said through gritted teeth as Hammond gripped onto his arm and clicked it back into place with Tripp yelling out in pain.
Rosen, Mills, and Skelton were out of the building just as an explosion went off, "I want everyone out of that building! O'Connor! Owens! Tripp! Hammond!" they heard Dangelo yell into the Radio as they stood close to him.
They watched Hammond and Tripp limp out of the doors, Hammond collapsed and fell to the floor due to the impact on his head. He was placed onto a gurney, Rosen at his side as they loaded him into the back of the ambulance and took him to the hospital to make sure that the head wound wasn't too serious.
