"Aiden!" a small voice yelled as Aiden walked past the entrance then turned just in time to catch Sophia who jumped into her arms.
"Look at you, out of the hospital already?" she asked her and held her in her arms, her mom walked in and smiled at Aiden, giving her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Mm hm. They said that I recovered quicker than everyone" she smiled and rested her head on Aiden's shoulder.
"Awesome, how are you?" she asked Sophia's mother.
"Good, yeah. Doctors said she recovered well, but we need to be careful or she could hurt herself. They said not to do anything to athletic or tiresome. Yet she begged me to bring her here" she chuckled at the already tired girl resting on Aiden's shoulder.
Aiden smiled before setting her down, "I am really sorry, but I have to get back to work, see you again soon?" she asked as Sophia hugged Aiden one last time.
"Of course" her mother smiled before waving goodbye and leaving the building.
Hammond slowly crept past her as Aiden clicked her tongue, "Hammond" she smiled and turned around.
"Captain, hey" he clapped his hands together and stared at her, "I'll go to your office" he muttered in a sad tone before walking away with his head down.
Aiden followed him into her office and shut the door behind her, "Alright, I know what I did was wrong, and I shouldn't have taken your sandwich form the fridge—" he started but she cut him off.
Aiden laughed, "I was gonna talk about the date you have with Rosen, but I believe we need to change the subject to my stolen sandwich" she folded her arms and pressed her back up against the wall.
"No, Rosen and Hammond subject will do just fine" he nodded.
"I've known you for years and I know that you have ZERO game. What's the plan here buddy?" she asked and lifted herself off the door.
"It's true, I suck. What the hell am I gonna do now?" he sighed and sat down in the chair miserably.
"Lucky for you, I have a secret weapon that can help you" she smiled and opened the door, using cringy jazz hands to symbolize the importance of what was behind the door.
"Girlfriend" Nancy smiled as she stood in the doorway with her arms folded.
"Girlfriend" Hammond sighed in relief and leaned back on the desk.
"I feel like a proud mama at her sons baseball game" Nancy squealed and folded her arms, walking away from her master piece.
Aiden tried to hide her laughter as Hammond stood there with his arms stretched out so they could take in what he was wearing. A white button up shirt with the top button undone, he had a black blazer and matching black trousers, his curly black hair combed slightly to reveal the multiple freckles on his dark skin.
"Well...?" he asked and raised a brow at his best friend.
"I mean... you look..." Aiden tried to start but Hammond just rolled his eyes and groaned.
"Oh my god... dude!" he cried out and collapsed onto the floor dramatically, Aiden tried to walk away but Nancy grabbed her by the collar on her leather jacket and pulled her back.
Aiden stuck her tongue out at her girlfriend before crouching down beside him, "Hey, she's not gonna care what you look like. She just wants to spend time with you" she patted his arm and he looked up at her.
"Yeah, okay" he stood up with the help of Aiden and she straightened out his suit.
"Now go get your woman!" Nancy pleaded and pulled him to the door.
