"So... Care to give an explanation as to why Tsunami isn't resting like she's supposed to?"

Shamal's eye twitched. "Isn't that something you should be asking her?"

Shamal jerked his thumb at Tsunami, who was eating her dinner like the argument wasn't her fault before glaring at Hayato in front of him.

"Couldn't you have, like," Hayato waved his hands around, "ordered her to stay in bed or something? You're a doctor, aren't you? Call it a doctor's order."

Shamal raised an eyebrow with disbelief. "Order her? Order Tsunami? Did I seriously just hear that come from your mouth of all people?"

Hayato scowled, "I'm just worried for Tsunami's health."

"If you're so worried about her, then why don't you try 'ordering her to stay in bed'?"

"M-Me?" Hayato looked horrified at that thought.

"Would you really try to do that to me, Hayato?"

Hayato paled as he turned around to find Tsunami staring at him. "O-Of course not, Tsunami."

Shamal snorted before picking up his fork at the table where everyone else had been ignoring them and their argument.

Tsunami observed Hayato's worried expression before sighing. "Look, Hayato. I'll still be making sure I get some rest, just that I'll also be doing the usual chores."

"Haha, but you don't have to do them all by yourself," Takeshi piped up.

"I know," Tsunami replied. "I expected everyone to help in the first place. And yes, that includes you, Shamal."

"Everyone has to earn their stay, after all," Reborn added.

"Says the one that's doing less work than me," Lambo laughed.

"Extremely good point," Ryohei nodded in agreement.

Tsunami stifled a giggle at Reborn's face, covering her mouth with her hand.

"If you can't hide it, then don't even bother trying," Reborn snapped.

Tsunami removed her hand, showing a provoking smirk. "What, you can't argue against those two so you target me instead?"

A few huffs of amusement was heard around the table, and Reborn turned to glare at Kyoya and Mukuro. He also shot some looks at Shamal and Chrome who were hiding smiles.

"Tsu-chan~" Byakuran called as he appeared from thin air.

"What do you want, Byakuran" came Tsunami's muffled response. "It's morning, and since I'm not going to school, I want to sleep."

"Hm? Didn't Shamal tell you anything yet?"

"Huh? Tell me what?" Tsunami sat up from her bed, blinking sleepily at Byakuran.

"That I'd be bringing a few other people over," Byakuran grinned.

Tsunami was suddenly wide awake. "No, he didn't mention anything about that. Who's coming over?"

"Pardon the intrusion." Two people came into the room.

"Spanner, Shoichi. Nice to see you," Tsunami greeted.

"Is it just me, or do you sound almost disappointed that we're here," Shoichi teased.

"Oh my, you saw right through me," Tsunami grinned as she stood up.

Spanner watched her with fascination as Shoichi told him in a hushed voice that staring was rude.

"But it's not like you've never seen a girl, right? I don't get why people are so surprised."

"Well, I guess that's true," Spanner shrugged. "Oh, I just got an idea. Shoichi, when we go back, remind me to try creating something that changes someone's gender just by wearing it."

 "Sounds interesting. I'll be helping?"

 "Of course."

"Do they normally do that?" Tsunami asked Byakuran as Spanner and Shoichi suddenly started discussing some tools and ideas.

"You mean coming up with new ideas for inventions anywhere and everywhere? Yeah, that's normal. I remember this one time where I had them go on a mission together, but they were taking a really long time. I tried to call them, but they didn't pick up. And when I sent someone to check up on them, the person reported that those two were sitting down with the target and discussing with them how to make their robots better. Can you believe it? In the middle of their mission, they were telling the target how to get stronger! Unbelievable!"

Tsunami laughed loudly, catching Spanner and Shoichi's attention. "Well, I guess it's a mechanic's instinct to try to improve everything they can."
