3rd Person's P.O.V

"Shoichi... Why are there chunks of... whatever that is in the soup?" Tsunami spun her spoon around in the bowl.

"Er, well, that's..." Shoichi rubbed his neck sheepishly. "Apparently, Spanner wanted to see what would happen if..." He trailed off, averting his gaze from Tsunami's.

"If?" Tsunami prompted with a raised brow.

Shoichi cleared his throat and finished the sentence. "Well, he wanted to know what would happen if he put the lollipops he had in the soup."

"And you let him," Tsunami deadpanned.

"I- Well, I was curious too," Shoichi mumbled with an embarrassed blush.

"You two sure would get along well with Verde... You wouldn't start experimenting on us next, would you?"

"Of course not!" Shoichi defended. "We aren't scientists."

"So you're saying you would if you were a scientist. Nice to know."

"That's not what I meant either!"

"Then did you do this to try to get out of cooking duties?"

"Wha- That- That's not- Ugh! Stop laughing!"

"Sorry, sorry," Tsunami grinned. "I couldn't help it. You're always so easy to play with. Now I understand why Byakuran enjoys it so much."

Shoichi's jaw fell open as he gasped. He placed a hand over his heart in a hurt manner. "How could you, Tsunami? I thought we were friends!"

"Thought is the key word here," Tsunami winked.

 "Ouch," Shoichi winced.

Tsunami laughed before taking a sip of her soup. "But you know," she said, "I think you're being around Byakuran so much that you're getting influenced."

 "How so?"

"Well, for one, you're picking up some of Byakuran's habits and actions."

 "For example?"

"For example... Well, does picking up his dramatic act count?"

"Have I really..." Shoichi stared at his hands in horror before covering his face with them. "I can't believe it... Tell me, Tsunami, am I going to end up as a marshmallow addict like him soon? Am I going to end up wanting marshmallows 24/7?"

"You're only making yourself act more like him when you ask all those questions at once," Tsunami smiled.

"That doesn't make me feel any better, you know."

Tsunami finished her soup and got up to put the empty bowl in the sink. "Oh, by the way, where's Spanner?"

"Oh, Spanner? If I recall, he said something about going to the garden to look at the plants."

"...what?" Tsunami hurriedly washed the bowl and dried her hands before heading towards the backdoor. "I thought I was living with mature, responsible adults, not mini curious Byakuran wannabes."

Shoichi followed Tsunami outside. "Now that's a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?"

"If you're asking me, then not really. You know how my friends can be."

"I'll be assuming that I also belong in that category."

 "But of course."

"Ah. It's you two. Were you looking for me?"

Tsunami and Shoichi turned to the source of the voice. They found Spanner crouching by some plants with a watering can in hand.

"I know I'm asking the obvious, but what are you doing?"

 "Watering the plants."

Tsunami frowned. "I usually have Ryohei or Mukuro water them during the mornings and nights though."

Spanner shrugged, "The soil looked pretty dry to me, so I just poured some water over them."

Tsunami sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "I think Mukuro and Ryohei may have neglected to water them for the past days or so then. I'll have to remind them or change the people again..."

"Mmm... If you don't mind, you could leave the gardening stuff to me during the time I stay here. It's probably the least I could do to help out," Spanner said as he tipped the watering can.

Tsunami nodded in approval. "Then I'll be leaving the garden in your care for now."

"Okay then." Spanner pulled a wrench shaped lollipop from his pocket and unwrapped it, sticking it in his mouth.

"Oh, and I'm going to head out for a bit," Tsunami said as she walked inside the house with Shoichi trailing behind her.

"Where are you going? You're still sick."

"I just thought I'd go pick up Lambo from his school instead of making Ryohei go all the time."

"But you're sick," Shoichi pointed out again.

"I'll be fine," Tsunami rolled her eyes.

"Other kids could catch your cold," Shoichi insisted.

Tsunami wrinkled her nose, thinking about it.

Shoichi sighed and offered, "I could for you, if you want. It's been a while since I've seen him anyway."

"I guess that works," Tsunami slowly said. "I'll give you the directions, and you can pick up Lambo. That would also give me some time to do a quick cleaning and message Ryohei."

Shoichi smiled, "Great, then I'll go and get ready."

Oh look, it's already been about a year since this fic started. Hopefully I'll still be able to keep up with the updates when school starts again. Seems like it's gonna be another crazy year, huh.
