45| the hideaway

Callum and i's moment finished when we stood up, interlocked our hands and walked back up the stairs to tell everyone the good news.

"i'm so happy," i thought aloud, grinning up at Callum as he helped me walk up the stairs safely.

"i nearly bottled it," he admitted, his cheeks red and a sheepish smile plastered on his lips. "i was going to wait and make it special but...the moment just felt right."

"it was perfect," i reassured, giving his hand a tight squeeze just as we got to the main level, all of the other islanders scattered around the garden.

"there yous are!" Paige shouted from the day beds, gesturing for Callum and i to join her and Finn.

"yous look happy," Finn commented as he looked between Callum and i, almost like he knew what had just happened by the firepit.

"that's because i've got this absolute sort as my girlfriend," Callum said as Paige literally screamed, jumping up and wrapping her arms around me.

"oh, my god Angel! i'm so happy for yous!" she exclaimed as she pulled herself away from me, her eyes glazed over with tears.

"why're you nearly crying?" i laughed out, feeling myself get a bit emotional too.

"cause we've waited for this to happen for so long and now it has. you two are perfect for each other," Paige told us as Finn laughed and pulled me into a side hug after congratulating Callum for 'finally growing some balls'.

"congrats," he smiled down at me as Luke T, Siannise and Luke M wandered over.

"alright, what's happening over here?" Siannise asked suspiciously as she eyed us all up.

"nothing. just congratulating the first couple of love island 2020," Finn told the three who's eyes nearly popped out of their heads, lips turning into the biggest of smiles.

"are you joking?" Luke M asked as he immediately smothered me and Callum into a hug making us all laugh.

"awh what? good on you man," Luke T said as he gave Callum a hug.

"I'm so glad yous are finally together!" Siannise smiled as she took my hands in hers, kissing my cheek making me smile.

"I love yous so much," i gushed at Siannise and Paige.

"Everyone! Meet the first couple of Love Island 2020!" Finn announced, grabbing the attention to those who where in the kitchen.

cheers and applause could be heard from all over the villa as everyone rushed over to congratulate us. the once tense atmosphere was replaced with that of celebration and excitement.

the sound of a phone went off, Callum taking it from his pocket as everyone shared confused glances. "Angel and Callum, as first couple of love island 2020, the hideaway will be open. #pillowtalk #sleepingscheating."

once again, everyone erupted into cheers and applause, the girls all gathered around me as I blushed madly, covering my face as I shied away.

"go on Callum!" I heard Nas shout.

ah! I'm so nervous.

waiting in the dressing room, Shaughna and Paige looked through the options of what I could wear for the hideaway. Siannise and Jess sat at either side of me after I had exited the shower, their arms linked through my own.
