Harry's POV
Tonight was going to be great! I was going to surprise Cheryl back at the flat, with the engagement ring and a heartfelt speech of my love. The plan was to get there before she got back from her Yoga class, and totally get her by surprise. She'd be so happy to see me—she'd be even happier when she found out that I was proposing. I couldn't wait.
I was dressed to the nines in my tuxedo and new black shoes that I also bought for this whole plan. I knew I would never forget this day, and neither would she, so why not make it even more memorable by dressing all up?
I was already on my way to the flat with the lads. Of course they weren't going to witness the proposal, but we were all getting a break from the touring and jet-lag.
"Are you ready for this Haz?" Niall chuckled as I smiled and shrugged.
"I'm as ready as I'll ever be." I replied with confidence. I wasn't really that nervous about this at all. It was going to be a breeze.
"You're not even the slightest bit nervous?" Louis asked with a gasp filled with emphasis. I shook my head in response.
"Wow." Liam said with his eyes widened at me as he came out of the bathroom. I guess he hasn't seen me all dressed up yet. "You look nice."
"Thanks. I feel nice too." I laughed. I was feeling so much at once—all good things. I just felt so happy. It was probably going to be the happiest night of my entire life.
All of a sudden, ruining every single bit of my joy, the news came on the television that hung in one corner of the bus.
"One Direction's heart throb Harry Styles was caught buying an engagement ring with a girl who isn't Cheryl Brookes—his so-called 'girlfriend.' Is this talented hottie all that innocent? Stay tuned to find out more after the break."
All the lads gasped as I just glared at the screen, feeling a growing, burning anger in the pits of my stomach. What the hell were they trying to do?! Because it looks like they were trying to ruin my relationship with Cheryl. Sure Nicole is pretty and all, but I would never, ever, cheat on Cheryl. No one compares to Cheryl. This was absolute bullshit!
"God, I hope Cheryl doesn't see that." Liam shakes his head, his chocolatey eyes still glued to the tele. I nodded in agreement, and started developing a pinch of doubt. I wasn't sure if I wanted to propose or not tonight. Suddenly I didn't feel happy at all.
This whole situation just seemed a bit fishy. Nicole and her husband "Mason," the photographer didn't seem to be the complete truth. I've started to feel like Nicole isn't even the person who she says she was. Certainly she did not look the same as before.
"Louis," I started a little shaky. I had an idea of what this had to do with, but it could've just been the paranoia. "Where did you find Nicole?"
Louis glanced up at me with a blank face, "She found me at Starbuck's, and said she was your friend. Of course I didn't believe her right away, but she told me some of your deepest secrets that I knew—and me and you only know them. So she got two of them, and so here we are."
I sighed with frustration. Louis wasn't the brightest in the band. Any fan could know my secrets. The paparazzi know so much about me from stalking me wherever I go, and then they put in their blogs and magazines.
"Anything else? Was she with anyone?" I asked nonchalantly.
Louis thought for a moment, gazing away, "Now that you mention it, I saw Harrison and her walk out of the door together laughing."
I slapped myself in the head, and then Louis did the same to himself. "Louis. Do you have any idea what you have done?" I shook my head.
Basically he had ruined my life. Me seeing Nicole was just a set up for Harrison to get back with Cheryl. Harrison would tell her, and she would hate me in return; therefore Harrison will be there to cheer her up with comforting hugs and rubs the way I used to.
I had to do something. Harrison has no right to waltz into my innocent life and fan-base, and just ruin all my plans. He wasn't going to get away without a bruising—I can tell you that much. And if I catch him near Cheryl at all—I swear to God nothing will be pretty.
"Harry." Louis voice cracked as he glanced back up at me in the eyes. I ignored him, looking every where but him, "I'm so sorry."
I shook my head and remained silent. I didn't feel like talking to anyone. I just needed some time alone to clear my head, and prepare myself for the future because I was going to need it.
"How could I be so stupid?" Louis muttered to himself, his eyes almost spilling with tears. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. I mean, it was Louis of course. Louis was known to act stupidly at times.
As I got up to depart myself away from the lads, I rested my hand on Louis shoulder, giving him a gesture that it was going to be okay. I wasn't one-hundred percent confident in that, but I didn't want him to feel as bad as I did. It's already over, and it can't be manipulated.
I layed myself in one of the bunks over in the rear of the tour bus, and tried to relax. I thought that maybe a little sleep would make me feel a little better so I did. I would need to prepare myself for this because it was going to be one hell of a night.
I saw the clear truth in "Nicole," and it was all just a lie. She was probably bribed to do all this for Harrison, just so he could ruin my life. God. What a jerk. No wonder Cheryl didn't want to be with him. Ruining my life and abusing Cheryl physically and mentally—he was on his way to prison for an eternity.
