Harry's POV

I was still waiting in the same chair, and it's been four hours in total. As much as my spine ached from the uncomfortable chairs, I wasn't going to leave Cheryl here alone. Not until I knew that she was okay.

"Mr. Styles?" I heard a voice say, and I immediately perked my head up. It was a doctor dressed in usual, plain-blue scrubs.

"Yes?" I replied, nervously adjusting myself in the chair.

The doctor cleared his throat and pressed his clipboard against his stomach, "I'm sorry to tell you this, but," He paused, looking away. "Cheryl went into a coma after childbirth. She lost a lot of blood."

I shut my eyes tightly trying to process the words he'd just said. I couldn't believe  this was actually happening to me. "And the baby?"

The doctor smiled slightly, making me feel a little hopeful, "Miraculously, your baby girl is alive, but she is premature so we're keeping here in the NICU."

My eyes widened as I sat up straight, and in the blink of an eye I asked, "Can I see her?"

The doctor's smile grew in length, "I was hoping you'd ask. Follow me."

I stood up as he started leading me down those doors I was once not allowed passed. I threaded down the hallway after the doctor, and suddenly he stopped in his tracks. He turned to face the room we were about to enter, and opened the door slowly and carefully—quietly.

"Here she is." He said, pointing to the most beautiful baby I'd ever seen in my whole life. I gasped, feeling the tears rush to the rim of my eyes again. She had my eyes.

"Oh my God," I gasped again, letting a couple tears slide down my cheeks.

The little infant peered up at me as I gazed down into her emerald-green eyes. She had my eye colour, my lip structure, my hair colour; and she had Cheryl's eye shape, ears, nose, and fingers. She was so beautiful. And I finally got to meet her.

"Hey baby girl," I whispered quietly to her, letting her grasp my finger with her incredibly tiny, baby-soft hand. "Daddy will be back soon to see you again. Daddy has to go see Mummy now."

I knew she couldn't understand me, but I felt the need to talk to her. But I wanted to see Cheryl next.

"Can you show me where Cheryl is please?" I asked in my loveliest manners as the doctor grinned and gestured me to follow him once again.

Luckily, she wasn't far away. He led me to the ICU where he had to scan his card to let me in, and said, "You stay as long as you need."

I smiled at him, thanked him, and made my way to her bedside. I gazed down at her pale, motionless face and shook my head. Tears were starting to form again in my eyes, but this time I didn't hesitate to let them fall.

I snaked my hand to Cheryl's and squeezed it, "You did it Cheryl. Our baby girl is here." I whispered. "Now you just need to wake up and meet her."

I started weeping heavily, feeling my heart sink like the Titanic after hitting an iceberg. This was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I didn't know for sure if Cheryl was going to wake up or not, but I was hoping and praying my heart out that she would. "She's so beautiful Cheryl."

"You have to wake up," I wept, occasionally wiping the tears from my eyes with her hand. "You can't leave me."

"I love you too much, and I just can't—" I paused for a breath. "I can't lose you, Cheryl."

I couldn't lose her. If I did, I would lose myself. I didn't know how I would function without her in my life; mentally or physically. It wasn't something I could do.

"I won't leave your side unless you wake up and tell me to, okay?" I said and sat down in a chair that was next to the hospital bed to rest my weary feet.

It was only five in the afternoon and I was exhausted. All the stress and the crying—it was starting to get to me. I felt as if I could sleep for a whole two weeks.

So there I was, resting my head in my hands again. I was still thinking a lot about things, but before I could get further into my thoughts, I heard my name being called by a familiar voice.

"Harry?" I glanced up at the voice, and it turned out to be Louis.

"What are you doing here?" I asked with a slight smile.

"We were worried about you and Cheryl," Louis admitted, gesturing me to look at the lads waiting outside of the room. "Wait. Why does Cheryl look so skinny?"

I chuckled for the first time in a long time it seemed, "She had our baby Louis."

"Oh my God! I'm an uncle!" Louis yelled excitedly with his oceanic blue eyes widened. I rolled my eyes at him. "I wanna see her!"

"Louis, be quiet. If you want to go see her then go next door. The NICU is right next to us." I replied to his enthusiasm, getting him to calm down a little.

"Sorry, I'm just excited!" He exclaimed again, and with that he exited. Then Liam walked in.

"Hey buddy. How is she?" Liam smiled warmly and rested his hand on my shoulder soothingly. Liam understood what quiet meant.

"She's in a coma, and she had our baby," I mentioned without hesitating. Man, it felt good to say that last part, finally.

Liam gasped, "Oh, congratulations." He patted my shoulder a couple times and then removed his hand; which made me sigh a breath of relief.

"Thank you." I grinned up at him.

"Well, you know that we are always here for you, and we are going to be here as long as you're here. We're in this together," The puppy-eyed lad said in a serious tone.

I nodded in response, and he left as well. No one else came in to see me, but it was nice to know that they were there for me. It was always nice to have them along on this journey. After all, they were my brothers.

I am both overjoyed and extremely depressed about this whole thing. Cheryl was in a coma for only God knows how long, and my baby girl was born. At least I actually got to attend the meeting of my baby. I thought I was going to lose her at first.

So yet again, I was at another war with myself.
