Beca sat in her last class of the day. She gave out the same announcement for the 7th time today. Every class is an hour long. By 7th period she was already tired of dealing with high school teens all day. Almost all of them are loud and obnoxious and are just looking for attention from their peers. Plus most of the school mainly consisted of boys. There was only one class that had more girls then boys and that was second period. But, they were practically just as bad. Almost none of them got any of their work done. Plus all they did was gossip and argue the whole time.

Beca sat behind her desk. She had already given out the packets from yesterday that she collected, for the period. She just wants to go home and talk to Chloe for the rest of the day. As long as she's okay with that, of course. She has already taken the attendance for the class. Now all she needs to do is get someone to take all 6 down to the office. She slowly stands up from her desk with the papers in hand and takes a small strides over to the desk in front of her.

"Do you mind taking these to the office before you continue?" She asks the girl in front of her.

"Of course" she tells Beca. She walks off and grabs a hall pass before she walks out of the class. She was able to hear her popping her gum as she walks down the hallway. She rolls her eyes at the sound. One think she obnoxiously hates is when people pop their gum obnoxiously. She looks down at the paper the girl was working on. Her name was Ashley. She turns her head to the side so she can get a better look at her answers. Wanting to see how good she was doing. From the looks of it so far, she wasn't going to do very well on the rest of her packet.  It didn't even look like Ashley was trying. She'd help her if she needs it, but she wasn't going to go out of her way for someone who didn't want to put in the effort.

She walks back over to her desk, deciding to grade some of the papers from her earlier class. It would save her some time when she gets home, plus it would give her freedom to do what she pleases when she gets home. and it gives her more time to talk to Chloe and get to know her better. Maybe she'll start to hint that she knows, but at the same she was curious to see how far she would push it. She'd have to give up with in the next week and a half, right? Unless she didn't want to meet her anytime soon. That was a possibility, she said she wasn't suppose to have a soulmate. Maybe people would think she lied? She thought about it for a little bit longer before she give up. Another thought popped into her head, Jesse. Jesse was best friends with Beca, they met at the studio she internships for. At first she closed him off and tried to stay away, but Jesse's goofy side brought her in more. So she stayed. She also learned that Jesse was abandoned as a kid, and Chloe's parents took him in. At least now she knows who the awesome family was. She was nervous to bring the subject, in case it was a touchy one. so she never asked him. and of course the news hit her like a truck. Her best friend, is siblings with her soulmate. If Jesse is adopted but not related to Chloe's family, does that mean he can have a soulmate? half of the people in the world have this curse, and Jesse has never told her that he was cursed, probably not? It was just a lot to process.

She pulls the packets off the first period stack, it was turned in by a boy name Chicago. She first skimmed over his work to get a quick assessment of how good he was. From the first look of it, it seems like he did a good job. Clearly he was smart and took his time to answer his questions. He did make a few mistakes, but almost everyone did. She kept flipping through the packet, checking this work and his answers. Most the mistakes he made were simple mistakes that were probably made from rushing.

She quickly went through the whole stack of papers until she got to the last one. Chloe's. She was the second to last student to turn in her paper. She quickly flips through her paper before she starts grading it. So far only one kid has a good amount of right answers, hopefully Chloe will get a good grade on her packet as well.

She used all the things she taught her when she helped her with the test. So far she's gotten everything right and it was down to the last question of the 2 pages. She checked all her work and it looked good. So far she only for 2 wrong answers. she was still proud of her, but couldn't outright tell her unless she lets her know about the whole soulmate game they're playing. She could ask her about school work and she'd check her grades and say she got mostly all of them right. Then she could tell her she's proud of her. For now on though she'd just have to ponder on it. She had the next couple of hours to figure it out. She also had the next hour to finish grading papers. She'll have to wait and see.
