Chapter 2

Chloe jumps from the startled noise. The teacher looks up at her from the front slightly shakes her head. "remember, no talking." she says with a firm look on her face.

Chloe just sat there waiting until the random voice in her head came back. "are you there?". Chloe didn't move. It was a female voice. but how? it's a women.  She never came across as gay or experimenting with women. most importantly how?! Her family is cursed!

She shook the thought off, still confused on how it's a women. "Are you my soulmate?" Chloe asked the 'voice' in her head. She try's her best not to sound weird about it.

"Yes, i'm your soulmate. Haven't you been told what will happen when you turn 18?" The women asks her.

"Um no actually, the people in my family aren't suppose to have soulmates..." Chloe responds back. She decided not to ask how it's possible that it's a girl. Would've Chloe come out gay in the future? Who knows? Maybe she was still figuring her self out. She never thought about women that way ever before maybe soon she would've, but it's her lucky day that's for sure. What would her parents think? Would they accept? I mean for now she doesn't know if it's real. She thought the idea of knowing your soulmate is impossible but more impossible was.. that it was a women? would it change her life? her sexuality? if it was real.. IT IS REAL but yeah of course it would. She's not complaining though. Her 'soulmate' has a lovely voice. 

"oh.. well now you have mee!" The women used a high pitch voice at the word 'Me',  Chloe chuckled slightly at the tone of her soulmate's voice. "anyway what are you doing right now?" The women who's name she still didn't know, asks her.

"i'm in math, At the current moment i'm taking a test i'm going to fail" She tells her honestly. No need to make her sound like she's smarter then she is.

"Hey! i'm actually really good at math. Just read me the questions and i'll help you."

Chloe glances up from her test to look at her teacher. She didn't know if she should take the offer or not. She was a good student. She didn't want to get caught, but again she's really not good at math. She weights her options and ends up deciding to take the offer. She needs a good grade to pass the year and she wasn't able to get it on her own.

"Thank you for helping me. I'll start reading off the questions."

Chloe was almost done with the whole test, she was going at a steady pace; trying not to get caught and cheating. She was starting to do some of the problems on her own too. But the second to last question she just couldn't understand. "Read me the problem and i'll help you." Her soulmate told her.

"Ok, 'Which of the complex numbers is equivalent to 3-5i/8+2i?' i think i said that right." Chloe responds back to her.

She proceeds to read out the answer choices to her. Not like she needs it though. So far she's managed to tell her the answer before she finished the question. But there was a moment of silence this time so she thought why not.

"Ok so, the answer would have to be C, because 7/34-23i/34 is the only reasonable one. The first number has to be a 7 and the answer must be subtraction. That question is annoying though, i'm sure everyone else is stuck on it."

Chloe thanks her and finishes the last problem on her own. She closes her test while getting ready to turn it in. Her soulmate was bragging about how she was smart and able to help. Chloe let out a small laugh about how cocky her soulmate was being as she turned in her test.

The teacher gave her a stern look as Chloe made her way up to turn in her test. "What were you laughing at? Were you cheating?!" The teacher practically yelled at her.

Chloe put a startled look on her face. "Why would i cheat? Better yet, how would i cheat?" Chloe says while starring her teacher in the eyes. She places her test on the teachers desk, and sits back at her desk. so she could wait for her teacher to tell her to leave.

"Beale can you come over here please?" Chloe walks back up to the teachers desk with her backpack thrown over her shoulders.

"You got a perfect score, congratulations, i'm sure you put in a lot of effort studying" Her teacher tells her with a frown on her face.

"Yes ma'am i did. May i be excused now?" Chloe asks her with a fake smile on her face. She had to find some way to pull this off that didn't end with her getting caught.

"Yes, you may leave if this is your only test for today"

Chloe made her way out of the class, a smirk caught on her face but quickly left when she realized what she did. She cheated? She had to feel a bit guilty, but she would've failed the class if she didn't do what she had to do. but she managed to get a perfect score on her test. Now she had all day to read and talk to her soulmate.

"Hey now that i have time to ask, what's your name?"
