While Beca was counting the students, Chloe tried her best to not maintain eye contact and not make it seem suspicious. When Beca was done, she cleared her throat. Placing her hands on the teachers desk, swinging her legs over and standing up. She walked over where the assignments took place and looked through the handful of packets. "Alright, just be happy this is the last assignment for this school year" she chuckled shaking her head at how the big packet was.
When she finished giving them out she made herself comfortable on the teachers chair and brought her legs up on the desk resting them. Chloe looked at the packet, processing it. If only I don't have to do it, she thought. She reluctantly opened it up and started working on it. 15 minutes into the classroom, all students snapped up at the sudden noise. A phone ringing.
The phone ringing constantly. The class looked around. Their eyes stopping to Beca's as they watched the brunette taking it out and answering. Knowing it was her's. "Hey, i'm subbing, Jesse-" Chloe furrowed her brows and tried not to listen while keeping her eyes on her desk. She heard the brunette sigh before standing up and walking outside of the classroom. The students heard muffling being heard as the phone call took place.
The brunette returned back flustered, bringing her hands into her hair then fidgeting with her cell phone resting on her hand. "Everything alright, miss?" one of the students asked. Beca looked over at the student while nodding and confirming that she was okay.
"Yeah sorry. Stuff at home. Get back to work" she pointed to the students with her cellphone. she sat down while going back at her phone. "Hey you there?" Chloe heard her soulmates voice in her head.
"Yeah.. what's up?" Chloe asked Beca. Maybe she'll tell her what happened back there.
"Where are you?" Beca said back. Chloe looked over at Beca sitting in the seat, using her phone, but being normal not showing any emotions trying her best to hide herself from talking to Chloe in her head.
"I'm in class." Chloe answered back, biting her lip and lowering her gaze back to the packet.
"Of course, how stupid of me" She heard Beca chuckle from her seat. Chloe trying to keep in a smile at how adorable Beca was being.
"What's up?" Chloe repeated the last words, wanting to know why the brunette will call out to her at this time of the day.
"Nothing. Just needed someone to talk to, i'm subbing right now" Beca said. Well of course she is, she's subbing for me! Chloe thought.
"What class are you subbing for?" Chloe asked, even though she knew the answer she wanted to know how Beca will react, or say to that.
"Mr. Tyler's class. Algebra" Beca responded back, "I'm just sitting here, watching the student's work'"
Chloe chuckled a bit at this and tried to concentrate on her work, "What a coincidence i'm in algebra too" Chloe tried to fake a realization, "Maybe i'm in your class." Chloe dared to ask. Before she knew it she heard shuffling at Beca's direction, the redhead watched the brunette getting her self comfortable probably liking where this is going. The redhead tried to keep her eyes on her desk, but from the corner from her eye, she saw Beca looking around the classroom while biting her lip. probably trying to find her, or just looking at the students.
"You never told me what school you go to?" Beca said, making it seem like a question more than a statement.
"Well wouldn't that ruin the fun?" Chloe teased. She heard chuckling from where Beca was, and bit her bottom lip trying to hide a smile.
"Hey miss?" before Chloe could say anything back a student called Beca. Beca nodded at the student keeping her eyes on them as she made her way over. Chloe turned around and followed Beca was she made her way over to the student. She watched Beca helping the student out, a smile forming on Chloe's lips.
"Alright class" This brought Chloe back to her senses getting lost at her thoughts. "This is it for today. Bell rings in 10 minutes, you're dismissed once it rings" Chloe heard Beca sigh loudly sitting back down.
the redhead packed up her stuff grabbing the packet along with her pencil in her backpack. She took out her phone, and looking through it. Once the bell rang. Chloe and the rest of the class stood up and walked out one by one, as she made her way over, she glanced at Beca's direction, watching Beca getting ready for the next class. She can't wait to see her again tomorrow.
