(HELLO FRIENDSS! I'm going to start by apologizing for not updating in god knows how long. Life has been insane and I've had alot going on with theatre and my boyfriend and everything. But I have returned!)

It had been three days since Snap had woken up, and since she had agreed to start seeing Spot. Even now, she wondered if she had made the right choice. Because although he had been nothing but wonderful to her so far, she hadn't left her bed, and she wondered what he had told everyone. Because just a couple days ago, her and Spot had made it abundantly clear that they absolutely despised each other. And for her to come back into the world and suddenly be with someone that everyone knew she hated? She had no idea if Spot had told everyone, or if she would ruin something by telling everyone. By the time Spot finally let her leave, she knew she had run out of time and couldn't stall anymore.

"You be careful, sweetheart. I can't have youse getting hurt. Not again. You hear me?" Spot was guiding her towards the door with one hand on her back. Snap rolled her eyes. He had been harping for the last day or two about how she was going to be able to leave soon, but she couldn't get hurt or get in fights or any of her usual business.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I heard you the first hundred times. Stop worryin'. You're the only person in New York who has a problem with me, so far." Spot shot her a warning look, a look that very clearly told her to stay out of trouble. "Look, Spot, I got a question." She paused for a moment, unsure of how to ask. "Does everyone know? About us? Because I don't want to say the wrong thing and give up a secret or nothin'. I just wanted to check, since you're the boss and you make the rules about everything." Her thinly vailed resentment towards his position of power did not bother Spot anymore, and he only shook his head before answering.

"Yeah, see, about that- no. I didn't tell nobody. But you gotta understand why. Because once the world knows that you belong to me," Snap elbowed him in the side, not a fan of the objectification. He chuckled, knowing exactly what had ticked her off, and giving her a glance that made it clear that it had been purposeful. "Once the world knows that we're together, you got a big target on your forehead. And I aint about to put you in that kind of danger. You attract enough trouble as it is." He gave her a playful wink, stopping in front of the door and wrapping one hand around her waist and the other around the back of her neck, forcing her to look to him. "I know that ain't what you want, and I wish I could show you off. But it's too dangerous. I got too many enemies and I can't lose you, So, I need you to go out there and pretend you ain't heads over heels in love with me, okay? I know it'll be hard but..." He trailed off with a crooked smile, kissing her forehead before opening the door so she could leave. "Be careful out there, alright? You'll see me real soon. Now...go visit Eleanor or Jack or something. I know they all been worried sick about you."

Snap had just taken a step out the door but she turned around when he said that. "They worried? But...they'd only met me that one time. How could they possibly care enough to worry after just one meeting?"

"You got something about you, Snap. Something that makes people like you and makes people care about you and makes people want to be close to you. You are special as hell. That's why they care. Because you're one hell of a girl. Now, get away before someone sees you making eyes at me." He winked as she rolled her eyes and started down the steps to begin her journey home. As she got to the bottom, she felt Spot grab her shoulder and she turned around. "One more thing. I love you." He smiled before turning on the steps and walking back inside.

She froze for a minute. Did that just happen? Did Spot Conlon just tell her he loved her? And...even worse. Did she love him back?
