Will tomorrow shines upon us?

Does this war we're fighting is something that is really worth fighting for?

Is magic really for this purpose?

Does our powers meant for annihilation? Well, I don't know anymore.

But seeing my comrades gathering and smiling gives me another purpose in life, and that is to protect them. I will make sure that those smiles will last for eternity. My power is for this very purpose.

Despite all the injuries they've gain during their missions, here they are smiling like nothing happened at all. Nonetheless, their commotions make me at ease.

"I hate the way you smile." Isang boses ng lalaki ang nagsalita sa tabi ko na pumigil sa malalim kong pag-iisip.

"At bakit naman? Anong masama sa ngiti ko?" Nakangiti kong tanong sa kanya. "Welcome home!"

"Your smile isn't happy at all." Walang emosyong pahayag niya and in that instant, unti-unting naglaho ang mga ngiti ko. How can he figure it out?

For some reason, I feel like this moment...their smiles...their noises...their faces...and all of them. I just feel like I won't be seeing them anymore. I'm scared. I'm scared that maybe one day, I'll wake up only to find them gone. That I wasn't able to protect them. That I failed to fulfill my duty. That I wasn't strong enough to save everyone.

"I'm scared, Linus. What if--" he cut me off.

"We're all scared, Exia. But we won't give up. Never! Remember that all of us are fighting for one purpose. The burden's not for you to carry all alone. Besides, giving up so easily is not that Lamerexia I knew for long." He patted my head which made my negativity go away.

He's right. I won't give up.

Linus Steve. The Light Tower. He's one of the very first person I met since I've joined the Corps. His entire family were slaughtered by demons when he was young and he's the only one who was able to escape and survive. Siya ang pinakamaingay na member ng organisasiyon. Halos lahat hinahamon niya to fight against him. But despite all those, he holds the most grudge toward demons. He named his sword Sheridan. After hearing him say those words, I almost forgot his nature. I can't believe that he was able to say something like that.

"Pulling someone up isn't like you, too, Linus. Akala ko puro away lang ang alam mo."

"Shut up!" He yelled and I just laugh. He's really funny.

Anyway, thank you, Linus.

"Let's fight, Ex----"

"Shut up, Linus!" I gave him a punch in the face. I can hear that he's planning to get me off guard. Sorry but I got him first. And now he's back to his usual self.

"Hello, everyone. Long time no see." A sweet voice coming from behind stopped everyone from what they're doing. Even Blaise and Everett stopped their commotion.

"Ephraim! You're as cool as ever. Sexy as always." Thormund complimented. Naghuhugis puso ang mga mata niya habang nakatingin sa babaeng kararating lang.

"Thank you." She bowed. Hindi man lamang kakikitaan ng pagkatuwa ang mukha niya.

Bigla namang nawala ang ngiti ni Thor sa itinugon ni Ephraim sa kaniya. Ikinatawa naman ng iba ang naging reaksiyon ni Thor.

Ephraim Horace. The Water Tower. The water sorceress. She manipulates water. Her Aquarius is made up of water. Her personality's as gentle as water itself but her magic's not gentle at all. She's very timid and treats everyone with great respect. She always feel inferior with anybody else kaya kahit anong papuri ang ibinibigay sa kaniya ay parang baliwala lang ito sa kaniya. Kaya ganoon na lang rin ang naging reaksiyon ni Thor sa sagot niyang "thank you".
