Seven Deadly Sins | Gowther

You face the armored giant, which is simply sitting down. Squinting your eyes, you stare at it as the other Sins do the same.

"That's not Gowther," you claim, crossing your arms. "I have no idea what that thing is."

Ban narrows his eyes at you, "What do you mean? It's totally Gowther! Look at the armor!"

"I might be his armor, but that is not him."

"How would you know, it's not like we've ever seen him without armor!" He argues back.

How would I know?

Anger surges through you.

Of course I would recognize Gowther!

"Gowther, look at this!" A younger version of yourself beams and holds a bouquet of wildflowers up to the giant armor.

You pause, "You can't really see from the armor, can you? Why not take it off?"

Silence meets your innocent query.

"No one else is here to see," you reinforce, twirling the flowers in your hands. "I really don't mind, I just want you to see them better."

Another moment of hesitation before a pink-haired male steps out of the monstrous metal casing.

"Sparkle!" He poses with his hand near his face in the shape of a peace-sign.

You giggle, "I didn't think you'd look like that!"

"What did you think I would look like?" He tilts his head.

"Like a big, gruff, old man," you laugh at the imagery. "You're kinda small for the armor, aren't you?"

He glances at the empty shell, "It's meant to contain most of my magical energy."

"Ooh, you have magic too?!" You jump up and down. "So do I! Watch!"

With a flourish of your hand, you concentrate hard and a tiny sprout appears in the ground by your feet. You grin, "See! I can make plants! Isn't that cool?"

He bends to examine it, "Your ability is quite weak."

"I'm practicing to become a Holy Knight!" You ignore the fact that he insulted your power. "One day, I'll be strong enough to join the Seven Deadly Sins!"

Gowther watches you, puzzled. How could such a weak child ever expect to become a Holy Knight?

"Can you help me, Gowy? You're so strong, I'm sure you could teach me!"

He glances at you as you smile with an air of innocence and happiness.

"Sure."

You growl at the immortal human, "I would recognize Gowther anywhere, and that is not him."

Surprised at your harsh tone, Ban takes a step back and raises his hands, "Alright, whatever."

"I'm leaving," you announce. "I'm not defending that impostor."

Meliodas shrugs, "Oh, okay."

Without another word, you depart, heading into the woods. Memories of your time with the pink-haired doll flood your senses.

You grew and learned from each of the Sins. Being a fairy just like you, King helped you a lot too, but you liked Gowther more. The doll was never afraid to speak his mind or tell you how to improve.

You've missed him a lot, to be honest.

He always pushed you to be the very best version of yourself and in return you taught him about humanity and emotions.

Gowther was the one who suggested to the others that you become a member of the Sins. Surprisingly, everyone agreed.

That's how you became the Dove Sin of Naivety.

(They had to improvise on your title because all the real Sins were taken, but it didn't bother you.)

You sigh and lean your head against a tree.

You really miss Gowther.

"You'd recognize me anywhere?" A soft voice questions.

Startled, you jolt upright and stare into the familiar face of a green-haired male with glasses. A bright smile overcomes your sour expression.

Without hesitation, you leap towards him to smother him in a hug.

"Gowther!"

He blinks, not returning the gesture, but his lips tug into a soft smile.

You pull away from him, "Your hair's different."

"Oh," he shakes his head as it returns to the color pink. "There. I was disguised."

You laugh, "I knew that thing wasn't you!"

"Yes, I found him wandering and decided to help."

"That was kind of you," you smile, ecstatic to have him back. "I'm so happy to see you!"

"I'm-" he pauses before smiling, "-glad to see you too."

"I can't wait to show Ban that I was right!" You exclaim, more to yourself than to Gowther.

He starts walking towards the others, realizing that you're not paying attention. Grabbing your hand in his, he leads you back to the group.

You blush at the action, although you know he doesn't realize how his gesture made you react.

Back at the area, you see that a fight broke out between the Roars of Dawn and the Sins. You're content to sit back and watch, laughing quietly as Ban gets his ass handed to him.

After awhile, Gowther interferes.

"That's Gowther?! That can't be Gowther!" Ban yells his shock to the world.

You stick out your tongue at him, "Told you so, Banny!"

After the odd human/demon hybrid is defeated, everyone heads back to the Boar Hat for celebratory drinks.

As everyone but you and Gowther get wasted, you turn to the doll.

"I really did miss you and I'm really hapy that you're safe," you tell him.

His eyes meet yours, "I'm happy you're safe too."
