S1 E16: Greetings, Old Friend

TIMESKIP

During the morning, I was able to see the sunrise? And no one to bother me today, meaning it was time to see an "Old Friend" of mine!

Jiro: I'm surprised <yawns> that---we're---still---alive!

Dragon Driver: I know right! I thought one of the cultists snuck in the room and tried killing us. But,...apparently...a sign of good luck

Jiro: "Luck" is something I would perceive as an accident. Never knowing when it would occur. Gladly, it happened last night.

Dragon Driver: Never heard a line like that before.

Jiro: Just something I made up in my head...anyways, are you ready to proceed?

Dragon Driver: Absolutely, I'm well rested and prepared to venture through the "village".

Jiro: (Confused) The village? Aren't we supposed to get to the mansion?

Dragon Driver: Don't be silly, Mr. Ren. Irlam village is nearby the mansion. Of course, we're going the route you wanted....

Jiro: Oh, alright then. <Placing his stuff into the bag>

Dragon Driver: (Generous) I'll get the wagon started, aye?!

Jiro: Hai <nodding as I got ready>

LATER

As I went downstairs to the bar table, he was kind enough to serve breakfast. Very rare, especially in a tavern but I needed to eat something. So, grabbing a handful of appas and other fruits...blue berries are my favorite besides oranges. I wonder what they're called...anyways walking out the door, I carried enough for both of us...still haven't gotten his name but maybe once we reached the village, he'll tell me.

Jiro: Hey, I got you some food for the road...

Dragon Driver: Wow, thanks a lot boy. I forgot to pack some of my supplies for the trip and besides the lesser the weight, the quicker the destination. 

Jiro: Couldn't have said it any better...

Dragon Driver: Oh, you can hop onto the carriage now, Yui is ready. Aren't you girl? <petting her gently>

-Hopping onto the back wagon, he initiated his companion to move forward. Taking in a few hours. This will be a pain. But, at least I could eat and fall asleep shortly.-

Jiro: You don't mind if I fall asleep?

Dragon Driver: Not a problem at all, Mr. Ren. I will notify you if there's something wrong.

Jiro: Thanks <laying down on the wooden planks> wake me up once we get there.

-Closing my eyes, I quickly fell asleep...what can I say? I'm a fast sleeper and a early bird-

TIMESKIP (A FEW HOURS LATER)

Feeling as the ride began to get bumpy, made me lift my head in curiousness...figuring out the earth dragon panicked in fear, I could tell she was disturbed by something chasing us in the woods.

Dragon Driver: MR. REN!!!! WE GOT TROUBLE <slashing at a guy jumping onto the wagon> 

-I got up very quickly to prevent the utter nuisance incoming-

Jiro: Dammit, when will I ever rest?

-Concentrating on the peculiar force behind me, there was a group of cultist chasing us-

???: Kill them in the name of LOVE!!! LOVE!!! LOVE!!! LOVE!!!

Jiro: AH SHIT!!! HEY, YOU GUYS BETTER MOVE FASTER....THEY'RE RIGHT ON OUR TAIL!!!
