S1 E18: Betrayal Cuts Deeper than You think

It couldn't be...she was the "assailant" all along, the one who continued to kill Subaru. Rem?! This plan of his---won't work anymore. After, figuring out two humans aren't enough to face her. We are so screwed...

Subaru: REM?!

Jiro: (Angry) Why?

Rem: If you do not resist, I will grant you a painless death...

Subaru: Is that really how little you trusted me?

-She remains quiet...even after he gave her an honest question-

Jiro: Yes...she doesn't seem to trust you enough.

Rem: You still have a chance to walk away, Jiro. I am not here for you...

Jiro: Screw that...I won't let you touch a hair on his head.

Subaru: (Worried) J-J-Jiro?! Get out while you still can...

Jiro: Not an option. I don't back down from a challenge...especially when my best friend's life is on the line. 

Subaru: Well, I won't let it stand either...I'm sorry...<smiling>

-Walking up to Rem slowly, I knew he was bluffing...taking out his phone...he wanted to blind her-

Jiro: RUN SUBARU! I'LL HOLD HER!

-Seeing as he smacked Rem to the ground, allowed time for me to restrain her-

Rem: Let go of me, Jiro! He's the enemy...don't make me kill you! 

-Pulling her arm up behind the back, I held Rem there and whispered something-

Jiro: Please...just leave him alone. There's no need for Subaru to die...we can figure this out together, just stop....

Rem: I'll be honest, you are quite persuasive but...that could only get you so far...and both of you are in my way!

-Using the back of her head to hit my face, Rem stunned me..., panicking to her weapon...I crawled over to grab Rem's ankle until she kicked me away...brutally-

Rem: Now, you will die...

-Swinging her chain ball at me, I ducked in time and roll over to grab my blade and ran off into the woods-

Rem: YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME!

-Running off, I looked behind me but couldn't find her anywhere which made me scared-

Jiro: FUCK! WHERE DID SHE GO?!

-Seeing as Subaru ran off ahead, he waved towards me...with a worried look on his face-

Jiro: YOU IDIOT! I TOLD YOU TO RUN!---AH!

-Feeling as the spike land into my spinal cord, there came across a gust of green wind-like energy coming at Subaru...and as he turned around...it was too late-

Jiro: SUBARU! <groans in pain> I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!!! <crying>

Rem: That's enough out of you, Jiro. <Bang> 

-Hitting me in the face repeatedly, she dragged me across the grass...and dropped me next to a crippled Subaru...

Jiro: I told you to---<coughs blood> run?

-Taking ahold of the kitchen knife, she stabbed me a couple times in the ribcage. Throwing it behind her, it was over for us both-

Jiro: AHHH!

Subaru: STOP IT, REM?! 

Rem: No...I warned you both before...this would've been over quickly if you didn't resist. Now, it is your turn to die...
