Lexi lay in bed next to fletch. She looked to him and sighed as he lay asleep. She couldn't believe that fletch had cancer. The thought of it made her feel sick.

All that she wanted was for him to be okay and it all to be okay especially when she was having his baby in a few months, Lexi stood for the bed and sighed as she ran a hand through her hair, she wouldn't sleep, she couldn't sleep at all. All that she could think over was fletch and how scared that she was to lose him.

Lexi knew it took her a long time to admit that she loved him and how scared that she was to lose him and she knew it took them ages to admit how they felt for each other but it scared her.

Lexi knew that she was already on edge and she was scared that fletch revealing that he had cancer would set her over the edge and she knew she couldn't have a breakdown when she needed to be strong for him

he was the one that had the cancer and Lexi knew that she was the one that needed to be there for him, needed to be strong for him. Lexi knew that fletch needed her

Lexi looked and smiled as fletch walked into the room. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close and kissed her. He looked to her and smiled

"are you okay?" He asked as she smiled. She turned to face him and smiled

"I just couldn't sleep, I couldn't stop thinking over you and what you are going through. I'm scared" lexi said as he pulled her close and hugged her

"I know that you are but I am going to be okay, I love you and I am going to be okay. I am going to have the surgery and I will be fine" he said as she looked to him and smiled

"have you told the kids?"

"No, I told them I was going away to Paris with you" fletch said as Lexi looked to him and sighed

"fletch, you need to tell them"

"I know but i can't. They have already lost one parent and I just can't tell them not yet" he said as Lexi looked to him and smiled

"whatever you want I'll support you but you need to tell them" lexi said as he nodded

"I know"

Lexi got to the ED with fletch as Madison walked over to her "what is he doing here?" Madison asked as Lexi sighed

"he wants to look some paperwork over before he goes for his surgery, I know your worried and so am I but I know he needs us to support him, I know that he is going to be okay. He has to be" Lexi said as Madison nodded

"he's my brother and I just don't want to loose him" Madison said as Lexi nodded

"I know, I don't want to loose him either. I'm having his baby after all and we should be preparing for that and not for life saving surgery but I have to believe he will he okay, for this baby and his kids" Lexi said as Madison smiled

"yeah, your right he will be okay" Madison said

Lexi walked into fletch hospital room and smiled as she saw him with Evie "I didn't know you were here?" Lexi said

"she knows, she is going to stay with you while I go down If that's okay with you" fletch said as Lexi smiled

"of course it is" lexi said as she walked over to him and kissed him

"you are going to be okay I promise" she said as she leant in and kissed him.

He kissed her back and smiled as she watched as a porter came in and wheeled him off to surgery, Lexi sighed as she stood with Evie and hugged her

"he's going to be okay" lexi said hoping that he would as she knew she couldn't do it without him
