The Amazing Holy Spirit
I want to introduce you to a friend. A beloved one, a lover of my soul. He is gentle, He is kind, He is generous, He is loving, He can comfort you in those moments of tribulation, He can take your fears away, He is the amazing Holy Spirit. Many people do not know much about the Holy Ghost. Many different Christian denominations refuse to acknowledge the Holy Spirit and His presence. This is the greatest mistake a Christian can do, to ignore the Holy Spirit, the One that Jesus promised that will come and empower us to do great, amazing wonders, signs and miracles.
What many Christians don't realize today is that without the Holy Spirit they can never experience the things that Father God wants them to experience. It is like you having the keys to open doors that can lead you to many blessings, but you just don't know how to use it. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit, He told us not to worry that even though He was leaving, He will send the Comforter to everyone that believed in Him (Jesus). Jesus was very clear upon the role that the Holy Spirit would take in our lives. He said that He will lead us, and He will tell us the things that Father God has in store for us so we can pray for them. Jesus also told us that the Holy Spirit would let us experience the realm of the supernatural. Without the Holy Spirit we Christians cannot experience the realm of the supernatural, and if you do experience it without Him, make sure it is not some demonic spirit that is showing you things and making you sensible to the spiritual realm to use you for their advantage and plans towards others.
This is one of the reasons that we need the Holy Spirit and everything that comes with Him. Without the Holy Spirit, there are no supernatural experiences, He brings the power of God forward. He is the one that makes The Bible real to us, gives us the conviction of salvation. He is the one that guides us and teaches us. He reveals the Will of God in our lives. When you are going through tribulation in your life, sometimes you want to fight back and be the warrior God wants you to be. But do you know that there are times when God just wants you to sit down and be still? He wants to show you that He is God, He is the one that will make every promised that He has made to you possible.
The problem is not that people know about Him (The Holy Spirit), they just don't know Him. Can you imagine Him reaching out to you? Can you see yourself ignoring Him? Don't get me wrong, I love Jesus, He gave His life for me at the cross. I love the Father too (Jehovah) but not many know that they too can love the Holy Spirit and worship Him like He deserves it. He is God also, He feels and listens and wants to communicate with you.
It is not by the sword, it is not with an army, it is with The Holy Spirit. That is what the Word of God says. You know how many times, Christians have been in trouble? The enemy using every weapon in his power to destroy them. To kill every single drop of hope in their lives, to kill their faith in God. To make humans never reach their potential. The enemy and his allies do everything to see mankind burn in hell. Greater is Him that is in us, than him who is in the world.
The Holy Spirit is such a gentle person. He would never make you do things that you don't want to do. He will never push you to feel His presence or accept Him. He is so gentle that if you told Him to stop and stand still in His works in your life, He would. But there would be a consequence, He would be saddened by what you have done, and you risk the chance of upsetting God's Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is important to us, so important. He helps us in our prayers, He is the one that knows what to ask for. He reveals to us, different hidden things that nobody else knows. In our intimate moments with Him, He reveals the heavens and the earth to us, His children. He envelops us with God's unfailing love. He is the unfailing friend we all need. He gives us the love that we have all being yearning for. To some He is a father, to others, he is a friend. He is a wonderful counselor, He helps the needy and the ones that society pushes away. He makes things new. He is the one that convinces you of your sin.
He is the one that reveals to your spirit that you are saved, and you have this conviction that you are. No matter what other people say, you know that you know that you are saved and no one can take that away from you. God's Spirit, touches, heals, cleanses, renews, changes lives, minds, people. He changes nations. He changes you. All the old habits, He starts to remind you not to participate on them. He gives you the strength, the love you need to endure the trials with other people.
We need Him in order to show the world that Jesus is alive. Without the Holy Spirit, there is no showing that Jesus lives. Like Jesus said, and you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. We will receive the power from heaven to cast out demons, to place our hands over the sick and they will be healed. We will speak new tongues, and we would be protected from venomous substances. His Spirit is the only one that can change a person and situation.
This is my desire, that you and the Holy Spirit become one. The bests of friends. To get to know this wonderful friend, that is willing to fight for you, no matter the consequences.
