My Life

Taliyah POV

His breath. His touch. His smell.

It's driving me insane. I haven't felt this alive in two years. Every time his hands move the feeling starts over again. Almost as if in a loop. I feel tears fall down my face.

" You're driving me crazy....." he chuckles against me and holds me tighter. I keep feeling my legs get weak. It's so hard to stand up. I hear wailing and feel my eyes turn red. I throw Daniel off of me and his back hits the wall. Everyone besides Jonah rushes over to him. He tells them to leave him.

" Taliyah it's ok baby we just want to know who he is." I snarl at Jonah and feel my body shift. I snap at him with my teeth. The longer he holds him the more I feel my blood boil.

Daniel POV

Taliyah lets out one more warning as Jonahs hands go to uncover the child's face. She probably found the child and wanted to protect them. I feel like this is almost too far. Who is this kid.

Jonah ignores her and moves his hand closer. Taliyah jumps up and kicks Jonah with her back legs while grabbing the child's clothes with her teeth. She gently puts the kid against the wall and stands in front of them. I look down on the floor in front of her and his shirt ripped off.

I looked behind her while she's focused on Jonah.

It all makes sense. All of it. Her leaving. It makes sense. She left because.....

" You had my child." She snaps her head over to me quickly.

" You had my child." I start to walk over but Taliyah growls at me to stay back.

I kneel on the floor and hold my hand out. He looks at me with his big brown eyes. He looks at my hand and then back towards my face.

Taliyah changes back and holds him close to her. He looks at her.

" I won't hurt him Taliyah. It's ok. I won't hurt him." She has tears running down her face while spewing words at me I can't understand.

She put him down on the floor slowly and hesitated before picking him back up and putting him in my arms.

He looks up at me with his brown eyes and giggles. I look back up at Taliyah who is watching my actions like a hawk. She does realize this is my child too right?

Are you daddy? Mommy is this daddy?

I gasp and look down at him. I look back up at Taliyah and she chuckles a little bit.

" He- He can only communicate through link. He's too young to physically move his mouth."

I gasp and look down at him. He's going to be someone special.

" What's his name?" She shrugged and scooted over to me.

" I wanted to you to pick it. You couldn't be there at all and that was my fault. I would feel too guilty if I picked the name. I mean I had no clue if you would survive but-"

I grab her chin and smile at her. I mouth 'it's ok' and she nods.

" Noah James Seavey." She gasp and looks down at the baby. Her lip starts to quiver.

" Ah here come the waterworks." She slaps my arm and covers her face.

" Noah. How beautiful you are." She kisses his forehead and he giggles.

Jonah walks over and Taliyah gently grabs the baby out of my arms and holds him close. She whimpers almost and he scoffs at her.

" Im not worried about the damn baby. Get your asses upstairs. You have so much to explain."

* time skip*
" When we were outside doing those practices two years ago, I kept getting these terrifying sharp pains in my stomach. I had no clue what it was so I went to Julian who then told me I was pregnant."

I take a pause as I look down at down at the baby. He grabs onto my finger and I coo.

" I was very scared. I was fucking terrified. I've heard legends of hybrids trying to get pregnant and end up dying either during the pregnancy or through the birth. Which I almost did. I had to give birth on a bathroom floor of a random hotel I found."

I sigh at the memory. It was the most horrifying experience of my life. Not only did I have to  give birth but I had to do it alone and in so much pain. It wasn't fun at all.

" Um anyways after I had found out I went to Julians office again and he told me to leave. He said I needed to leave immediately if I didn't want everyone I love to die."

I hear Daniel growl at the name Julian brought up. I look up and see his eyes bright red. I'm surprised Julian isn't dead already. No doubt they knew immediately that Julian was apart of me leaving.

" He told me the probability of the baby having gold blood was too great and that if the griffins got word I left they would leave you guys alone and look for me somewhere else. I-I didn't want you guys to die because of me."

I wiped my eyes and sniffle a little.

" They left you alone right?" I look up through my tears and they nod slowly. I sigh and lay back.

" If they find out that I have a baby they're going to kill all of us without a second thought. They'll be here in no time. I can't watch you guys die because I was born with a curse." I choke on a sob. I can't help but feel my heart squeeze. It hurts so bad. Just being here in front of them after no word for two years just hurts. I don't want them to forgive me. I deserve that pain. I feel my breath start to quicken when someone rushed over and held me.

Jack.

I lean into him with tears pouring out of my eyes.

" I'm so so so sorry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have left like I did. I-I should've gone about it differently I'm so sorry. I know you guys hate me and that's ok but just know I didn't mean for Daniel to get so sick. I didn't know it would hurt so bad. I felt every second of it. I felt every bone break I felt the starvation I felt it all."

Everyone gasps and looks over at Daniel who is wide eyed.

" Taliyah how did you feel me when you were across the country?"

I look up confused. I tilt my head and think.

" I don't know I just did. Was it not the same for you?"

Jonah scoffs and walks away.

" If he felt you I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have almost died like he did." I throw my head down. I mutter a sorry and Daniel accepts it.

" I broke my promise. So I deserve everything negative thrown at me and I don't expect to be forgiven at all. I've been working for two years to get stronger so I can protect everyone."

My family attacks me in hugs and kisses but luckily Daniel grabs Noah before he gets strangled.

" Ahhhhh feels good to be back." Cole says. He kicks his feet up on the coffee table and Daniel and I hit his feet down.

" Still coordinated as ever I see." He sighs and throws his head back. I laugh and give cole a hug.

Nyah tackles me onto the floor with so much force and speed I feel my back crack. She completely ignores it. She doesn't say anything but just holds me. Ari, Hailey and Cami do the same together.

" I had to stitch myself back together after giving myself a c-section so maybe avoid falling on my SCARS!" The quickly apologize and help me up.

I didn't know I was so important to these people. I thought they just always saw me as a leader. Someone that can be replaceable.

Now when I look at them it just feels so right to be here. They're family. I look over at Daniel who's fallen asleep with Noah in his arms. I coo at the sight.

I will protect them with my life.
