The Foxs were comprised of five persons in total number., it comprised of Sir' Richard, Lady' Flora, the young masters who were the first children of Sir' Richard 'Rudy and Russell Fox and finally the youngest and only daughter of the Fox ' Marilyn Fox.
The Fox family was a family which I looked on as a somewhat 'divided family so to speak. Sir' Richard had a divorce with his wife some years back.
Well like I said in the previous chapter Lady' Flora decided jumping into a divorce due to her husbands strict and unruly attitude and his daunting behavior with the opposite sex. I heard the Lady had already moved on with life.
Master Fox two sons were Older than I was. His first son whose name was Rudy had a pompous and arrogant attitude like his father no wonder they always referred to him as " a brick off the old block". He sometimes picked up fights with his father's slaves. And after having the backing of his father would personally have our backs skinned by his cane. He was studying law in the the Law just as his father did also but sadly he left after failing woefully during his exams. This brought shame to the family but the young master never minded anyone. He went on his life enjoying and attending bountiful parties. Sometimes he had fights with his father and sometimes would angrily leave the house and would sometimes return back home late at night or the next day. He also had fights with his sister also for seeing the welfare of we slaves and also me.
He was really an arrogant young man.Russell was his immediate younger brother. We were both of the same age or age group. He unlike his brother who had an unruly character., had a character with depicts mildness'. Easy going'., some slaves said he felt alone ever since his mother left the family. He was 'a lonely young man'. Twice I've seen him been saved from the hands of his elder brother who always took advantage of his weaknesses. Russell was willing to sacrifice what he had for the sake of others including his brother. In the community he never had friends or a person to call a friend. No wonder people always called him an "introvert".
The Fox were really influential in the society. Having that name 'Fox' at the back of their name was what many person craved for to have.
Who are you ?. 'Thomas Fox sir. You're from the fox right ?. A servant you are aren't you ?. Was the question every person asked when I was stopped for some few questionings. But for me.... I just saw it as a name., I could build my own name if I want to, rather than living on brink of another persons name. The Fox were also property earners. From high profitable businesses, lands, houses just to mention but a few. One of those businesses was the sugarcane farm were I work more often on.
Oh I even forgot to talk about Marilyn Fox. Well the next chapter talks about her.
