In situations like you this you wouldn't expect everyone to share your joy. I mean to say "the joy of liberation". Some would feel for you... While others looked on to you with despise. This lead to some quite awkward things.
More black communities were carved, because some of the other colour or race never liked them. But even the blacks too started to develop a hatred for the other colour. Some even tried starting a riot, over how their lives had been treated.
"Besides we're humans for crying out loud !!!.". They would say.Well., some former slave owners begged for forgiveness from their former slaves. Which with tears were granted them. Some even provided shelter for the slaves too.
They really felt sorry for their attitude and selfish interest. They showed remorse for their actions. While the others on the other hand never did. Rather they showed more grudge in their former slaves.
"Felicia Gregory was harassed by her former slave owner onetime. Saying " you're still mine. Remember those times we used to spend together. Remember! Remember!! ". He treated her like a "sex toy". She was always an object of rape with the brutal man.
He was later arrested and charged to court for sexual assault.
Felicia's experience gave other slave owners fear in their hearts. Why was because some of them used their female slaves to satisfy their vicious pleasures.I shocked to have the visit of Marilyn's father. Who came to the house pleading and asking for us to forgive him.
He pleaded " Thomas I hope you have a place in your heart to forgive me my boy. I treated you and the others so rude and harshly. Please I beg of you ... Find a place in your heart please forgive me".To Marilyn he said "Love is what you've come to cultivate and cherish my dear. Irrespective of skin colour you still found love in this young man. My dear., I never liked you or even liked to see your presence. My dear please also forgive me my daughter".
We hugged and forgave the old man as tears rolled down his eyes as he hugged and kissed his daughter with Russell looking on with big smiles on his face.
You might wonder.. What about Rudy ?.
Well according to Sir' Richard the man left home after a heated fight with him, and since then haven't returned back home.True there were "remorse and grudge". Some accepted the change of constitution ., while others despised it.
