5 - nightmare

i finally got some sleep and it felt kinda nice actually. I woke up after everyone else but it was still pretty early. i got up and groaned holding my side. it still hurt a lot and it sucked.

i stood up and made my way to the "living room" of the apartment we were in. it was pretty run down so I could hardly even call it a living room anymore.

both Ellie and Dina were in there and they had their bags on. "we headin out?" I ask about to go back in my room.

Ellie stopped me and said "no we are going out but you need to stay here and rest". i frowned a bit and just looked at her.

"i know you don't like the idea but it's-"

"go I'll be fine" I said putting on a fake smile. Ellie looked at me and asked "you sure?"

i nod and say "yea I'd just slow u guys down". they nod.

"we will be back soon y/n latest is by night fall" Dina said giving me a small hug.

"you guys be safe out there" I say breaking the hug. With that they left.

i sigh and then make my way towards the balcony. i watch then leave and go into a building.

i feel a few tears run down my cheeks and I quickly wipe them away. 'no I just...gotta get over her' I thought to myself.

i calm myself down and see a few trucks. probably the wlf. then I hear a gunshot hit the wall near me.

"shit" I mumble to myself.

they saw me. I quickly grab my stuff along with Ellie and Dina's that they left here but I was too late. they were already in here.

i just had the worst luck.

i quickly hide under the bed which wasn't the best spot but was the quickest where I could go. i hold my breath when I see some people around the bed.

i waited for them to go to a different room and once they did I got out and hid somewhere else. i grabbed one guy stabbing him in the neck with my knife and moved to somewhere else to hide.

someone spotted the man I killed so now they knew I was here. i had to be smart.

i watched as someone else came closer to where I was hiding. i then grabbed them stabbing them as well.

"Hey!!"

i see someone charge toward me and soon I'm pinned to the ground. i struggle under him and hear a girl yell "hold her down!".

i recognized that voice. it was her.

"get off me!!" I yell squirming under him.

i then felt a hard hit to my head.

flashback

"y/n come down for dinner!" m/n (moms name) yells.

"coming!"

I run downstairs and then see a smaller dinner than yesterday. food was short again.

i sit at my spot then say "thank you mom". she nods then d/n (dads name) comes in and it goes silent.

"where the hells all the food??" he asked raising his voice.

"that's all I could manage to get food is just getting lower and lower these days".

"yea well Marlene can change all that. i heard their smuggling some girl that's immune to the virus" d/n said with a small smirk.

I just ate my food quietly.

as we ate dinner we heard a banging on our door. i look over at the door and m/n tells me to go hide.

i run to the closer and shut the door listening in on the conversation.

someone opens the door.

"it's been a month where's our money l/n"

"w-we don't have it yet but we promise to get it soon" my mother says I can tell she was scared.

"give us another week hour the one that charged us too much for a little bit more food" my dad says and mom quickly says "dont listen to him but please we just need another week"

"you've had long enough. d/n your a firefly and you know how I work if you don't get me my payment on time then there's consequences and to add on you were rude to me".

"we just-"

my mom was cut off by two gunshots.

i flinch and look at the door. i want to open it but I was scared. i then heard the sounds of my dads sobs but I didn't hear my moms. I reach for the door nob and open it only to see my mom with a bullet wound in her scull and my dad with a wound in his shoulder.

i drop to my knees and sob. my sobs get louder and now I was just hoping that this was all just a stupid dream and that my mom would be with me in the morning. but it was a dream... it was a nightmare

and it was real.
