9 - jesse?

Ellie and I had finally gotten back and it didn't take as long since we had a car but we had to park it somewhere else so they wouldn't know where we were. we walking the rest of the way and now we're in front of the movie theater.

Ellie pulls me aside then says "before we go in there uh...some news you should know".

"alright... is someone hurt?"

she shakes her head

"Dinas pregnant"

my eyes widened. i run my hand through my hair then say "pregnant huh?... Jesus". I took a breather then nodded.

"alright let's go".

Ellie knocked the door. Dina opened it and once she saw me she gave me a tight hug.

"Dina....can't....breath"

she pulled away quickly then said "sorry me and Ellie were just worried they would you know"

I nod and then we go inside.

i sat down and I sighed heavily. I was so tired after today and I just wanted to get some sleep.

Ellie's POV

after today I didn't know what to think. i'm pretty sure I'm more than just attracted to y/n.

ever since we left Jackson I've been thinking about her so much differently. at first I ignored it but now I'm seeing that it's more than just a change of feelings.

i actually like her more than a friend.

but I'm with Dina. i don't know what to think anymore it just confuses me.

i look at y/n then say "cmon I'll take you upstairs to get some food and then you can rest".

"I'll come with" Dina said with a small smile.

I nod and we all go upstairs.

I hand y/n a bowl of beans. we found a good amount of canned goods here enough to last us.

she looked at the bowl and said "huh... no nuts and berry's?"

Dina chuckled and shook her head.

"man those were my favorite" y/n said sarcastically with a little laugh before putting a spoon full of beans in her mouth.

i smiled a bit and looked at the ground. this trip was about getting revenge on the people who killed Joel but it's turned into much more now.

damn this is stressful

TIME SKIP AND Y/N POV

I woke up and saw Dina had fixed the radio and she got some numbers on a map.

"what's all this?" I ask sitting across from her.

she smiled and then said "Well I got the radio fixed and I've been listening in all morning. The number's on the map are all locations. I've figured out a lot from this though and it's good information".

I smile then say "I know I couldn't do it so thank you".

she nods then it was silent.

"y'know I've seen the way Ellie looks at you" Dina said breaking the silents.

I furrow my eyebrows from confusion. "what do you mean 'the way she looks at me'".

she sighed then said "i'm pretty sure she likes you and if she does then i'm fine. i'm not gonna get mad at you two for having feelings for each other and i'm pretty sure you like her two. we all will stay friends and i promise i wont get jealous".

"Dina I don't even think we need to have this conversation right now cause Ellie doesn't have feelings for me" I say with a small sigh.

Dina rolls her eyes. "your blind if you can't tell but as time goes by you'll see".

even if Ellie were to have feelings for me I'm surprised Dina was so calm about it and willing to give up her relationship with Ellie.

I was about to say something but then Ellie walks in and says "Mornin... damn you two do this?"

"nah all the credit goes to Dina" i said with a smile.

Dina smiles proudly.

she explains to Ellie what it all meant like the locations and the numbers.

I dosed off for a minute and now we were going to some neighborhood called 'Hillcrest' and apparently Tommy was there.

when we were about to leave Dina got pains in her stomach and I went over to her sitting her back down on the couch.

"take it easy alright?" i said with a small smile.

"hey... how about me and y/n just go and get Tommy while you stay and listen to the broadcasts" Ellie says obviously worried about Dina.

Dina nods and says "yea that would be best.. you two stay safe out there".

Ellie nods and then hugs Dina before walking out the door. I go to give Dina a hug but then she winks at me and says "go get her tiger". I pull myself up and decide that I'm not gonna hug her.

I walk out the door with Ellie and we make our way too Hillcrest.

it didn't take long since we took the car but we decided we would leave it there so there was no more suspicion.

we heard gun shots and some explosions.

definitely Tommy

there were way too many wlf here and we needed to do this quietly but that would be hard since they also had their dogs.

TIME SKIP

it took us quite awhile to get through all of them not to mention we had some infected to deal with.

both me and Ellie were already pretty beat and running low on bullets.

we were now just running desperately trying to find Tommy.

we jumped down from a building and Ellie was grabbed but I didn't see it until I looked at her.

i look at who was holding her and it was Jesse.

"Jesse? what the hell are you doing here" I said and he let go of Ellie.

"my friends problems are my problems" he said with a smile but he looked like he was in pain.

now we were pushing through this with Jesse all we needed to do was get out of here now.

Jesse's plan was to take the car and honestly I wasn't against that plan it was the quickest way out of here.

we killed the soldiers silently and got in the car. it would start so now we had to shoot to buy Jesse time.

once he started the car he floored it and drove away quickly.

to say the least... Jesse wasn't the best driver and we all ended being even more beaten up than before and now we were in a lake.

but I am glad we're safe.

ahhh Jesse's here. not gonna lie Jesse might just be my third favorite character in this. under Ellie and Joel of course but hope you liked it I'm probably gonna update later today :).
