Chapter Five: Familiar
Words: 1386

Walking slowly through the UA halls, head hanging down low, I was stopped with a hand firmly clasping my shoulder. Looking up, I met eyes with Aizawa, glaring down at me. Wait...wasn't he just in critical care yesterday? I'm glad he's okay, but this recovery seems a little too quick, even with grandmother's quirk.

"Teachers lounge," he sharply says, narrowing his eyes at me. I slowly nodded, following him down the hall, passing by whispering students and creating unbearable tension between us, until we got to the teacher's lounge.

I stumbled in and awkwardly sat on the couch as he stood a few feet away from me.
"Do you know why I called you in here?" Aizawa asks sternly, gripping the chair in front of him, his knuckles turning white. I avoided eye contact as I shook my head.

If this is about Almight...I understand why he's worried, I mean if this information got out...it would be horrible, but it was his choice to allow me to see him.
Aizawa laughed sarcastically: "Oh, really? Seems a little hard to believe when you were so easily recognizable by Tomura Shigaraki yesterday."

Tomura Shigaraki...? Oh, is he talking about that villain at USJ? I don't understand. I know that he looked up at me but that was our only interaction, if you could even call it that. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and scrunched my nose.

"What do you mean?"

"Yesterday at the USJ incident, he noticed you in the crowd and said 'you look just like him, Y/N'. He knows your name and clearly has some history with you. Have you told him about Almight yet? Who are you, really?" Aizawa demands, gripping the chair tighter.

Does...does he actually think I'm a villain? I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and fiddled with my hands. This is scary...how does he know my name? And...what did he mean by that?

"I don't know what to say to make you believe me, but...if he was able to know that Almight was going to be there at USJ, then what's stopping him from getting records here? I know I'm on file here since I'm registered under temporary faculty. I really don't know what he meant, I'm sorry," I explained, my voice clearly shaking.
Aizawa took a deep breath and mumbled something that I couldn't make out. He turned away from me and ran his hands through his hair.

I hesitantly got up after minutes of silence and walked towards the door, waiting to see if he was going to stop me before leaving, quietly shutting the door behind me.
Walking towards the clinic, grandmother quickly ushered me in and closed the door.

"The teachers have been discussing Almight's decision and what that villain had mentioned," grandmother tells me in a hushed voice.

"Y-Yeah, Aizawa just spoke with me and seemed really suspicious of me—this is crazy. What do the other teachers think?" I asked.

Grandmother sighs and shakes her head: "We had a last-minute meeting this morning and they've voted that you are banned from UA grounds until further notice."

My heart sank to the very bottom of my chest. Banned...from UA? I didn't even get the chance to defend myself, which I don't know how I would manage to do that anyway, I have as little proof as they have against me.

"Are you serious?" I say in disbelief.

"I'll be home as soon as I can...security will be forced to remove you if you don't vacate the campus. I would have told you earlier but the meeting went longer than expected. There will be a longer meeting after school to discuss further on the issue," grandmother says, "I'll do all I can."
