Chapter Twenty-one: Upheaval
Words: 1260

"Bakugo was taken by the League of Villains..."

Each syllable ripped out a heartstring, pressing my back against the cold wall and looking down at the tile flooring.
"And how do you plan on getting him back?" I ask with my voice shaking, bringing my eyes up at him. Deku held eye contact with me before looking away, releasing his tense form to a slump.

I lowered my gaze to his arms, they look healed to some degree but...was that villain attack really that bad? All Might never went into great detail, which I can only assume is for my sake.

I shuffled towards the window and narrowed my eyes, glimpsing at Kirishima and Todoroki, standing outside of the hospital.
"Deku...are they waiting for something? Even though they're relatively close to the hospital, it's dangerous for them to be outside right?" I questioned, placing a hand on the smooth glass.

Just as I finished my sentence, I heard the squeaky sound of the door sliding open gently to reveal a black-haired girl with a pink dress and bandages on her head.
"I've decided...I'm going," she announces, "Say you're coming too."

Deku, after a moment, nodded firmly, standing up and following her with me close behind. I noticed some sort of device clutched in her hand—a tracker, it seems like.
Coming out to the front of the hospital, Todoroki and Kirishima were standing in silence. Todoroki lifted his hanging head towards Deku and paused: "Midoriya..."

Kirishima stood stiff but took the first step towards us. "So how 'bout it? You decide?"

Before Deku or the black-haired girl could reply, a man stood out from the shadows surrounding us, coming into the dim, yellow light that the hospital provides. I think he's the class representative, I don't recall anything else about him other than that and his quirk.
"Hold on," he interrupted, walking into the circle we've formed.

Everyone looked at each other, questioning him for his abrupt presence. He maintained a cold expression, only keeping eye contact with Deku.
"You. Why did it have to be you two of all people?" He starts, gritting his teeth.

"The ones who stopped me from acting recklessly? Who received amnesty with me after Hosu. Why are you still trying to make the same stupid mistakes that I did? Didn't you learn?"

Hosu...wait, that's why his quirk looks so familiar. Ingenium was attacked in Hosu City. Did they get involved with Stain...?

Todoroki put an arm back to stop Kirishima from approaching him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"What are you talking about?" Kirishima narrows his eyes.

"Don't you understand? UA is in a bad enough position. Anything we do will surely reflect on our school. It'll reflect on all of us!" he shouts, hi voice cracking as he clenched his fists.

Deku stepped past Todoroki and Kirishima and towards him: "Iida I know you don't like breaking rules but this is—."

Iida pulled his fist back and I immediately put my hands up to try my quirk, only stumbling back out of weakness, seeing Iida punch Deku in his jaw. Deku fell to the ground while Iida stood above him.
"I'm frustrated too! And concerned. Obviously! I'm the class representative, damn it. This means I'm worried about all of you, not just Bakugo. Your injuries only reminded me of him—of my brother. What if you end up like him? What if you can never have the chance to be pro heroes? I don't want that for anyone."

Iida pulled Deku up to his feet and clenched his shoulders: "You have to see where I'm coming from."

"Of course I do," Deku admits, holding his jaw.

"You got us wrong, Iida. We don't plan to face them by fighting," Todoroki calmly explained, gaining the attention of Iida.

"We'll be stealthy!" Kirishima adds with a bright smile, his sharp teeth peeking through, "Without breaking the rules too."

The girl steps up, holding that device in both hands to her chest, looking up at Iida with a melancholic expression: "I believe in Todoroki's judgment...I do. Still, things can always go wrong, there's no way we can know what outcome the universe presents for us. That's why I'm coming."

"Momo, I'm glad and feel the same," Iida says before turning his head towards me, "But you. Why are you here? What business do you have?"

I blinked blankly, startled by the sudden suspicion of me.

"I did think that myself," Momo says, resting her hand under her chin, "I've only ever seen her during the USJ incident and...the UA Festival, I believe. I have come across the information that she is—or rather, was, shadowing Recovery Girl and she's her granddaughter. She shouldn't be here, we're training as hero's and she's what? Less than a nurse?"

"I don't have time to explain myself completely, but I'm coming. You can trust me to not be dead weight," I reassure them, stammering from being the center topic.

"No," Todoroki states.

Soon, a snippy discussion erupted between the five of them until Iida spoke up: "It comes to a vote, then. Raise your hand for her to stay here, at the hospital."

Todoroki raised his hand followed by a hesitant Momo. Deku looked at me before also raising his hand. A tie.

"A tie, then. Not what I had expected the outcome to be but I think in all fairness, I should be the tiebreaker," Iida announces.

"That's bad judgement," Todoroki scoffs, glancing away, "She's coming then?"

I nodded to Iida. "Thank you."

Walking down the empty streets in silence, other than the sounds of pedestrian conversations and cars, I strayed behind next to Momo as the boys walked in front of us. Momo's expression was serious and calculated, staring at the device with a grimace.

Soon, I found myself already on a train with the others like that hour was nothing. It's silent and stale at this late hour, feeling detached from the reality around me. Sitting next to Momo, she started to show us the device, a yellow circle blinking to show the location of the target.
"The coordinates indicate Camino Ward. Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture: a two-hour trip, so we will get there by ten o'clock tonight."

"The rest of your class...do they know?" I asked.

Deku shifted in his seat. "I was actually wondering the same."

"They're aware and they tried their best to talk us out of it. Judging by our situation, they failed," Todoroki answered, tilting his head onto his hand to prop himself up.

"So we're going against their wishes—including Bakugo...," I say quietly.

"It's selfishness, if I'm being completely honest. We can call this off," Todoroki states.

Kirishima slammed his fist on his armrest. "No, Bakugo would do the same if he were in our shoes."

Two hours past and we navigated out of the train station and onto the streets of Yokohama City—bad memories I have coming here.
Momo folds her arms and glanced sharply at us. "Contrasting against this completely unrealistic plan, I'm proposing this careful proposition: the villains already know what we look like, even Y/N as she was present at the USJ incident. We could be attacked at any moment if we're going there without any sort of modification."

Momo turned towards a clothing store behind us, placing a hand on her hip. "It's a bit old school, I'll admit, but it's our best shot."
