• Ko Mun-yeong's point of view (POV)
Ugh. Another set of people who are not welcome in my house. I'm sure as heck who sent these two guys here. That evil of a person really doesn't get tired of pestering me.
My already unstable life--or should I say, afterlife, is already hard as it is. And now the 5-day streak of living peacefully has been cut yet again by the arrival of another set of strangers!
What's worse, that guy Gang-tae isn't that much of a scaredy cat. Yeah, he looked like he was about to piss on his pants when he saw me on the mirror but it was still dry when I checked his crotch for a split-second. Hope he didn't see that, but I won't mind either if he did.
Unlike the past 2,445 visitors, these two didn't leave on the first night. And that is very, very stressful for me.
I did my routine--show up at the mirror, hug from the back, touch some body parts--well, this was the first time I touched someone's abs. Somehow, I just can't resist the urge earlier. He also didn't fight it, did he?
But I'm not sure now if I will send them away just yet. That guy Sang-tae...well, apparently he's my fan. Unbelievable and amazing.
I saw him carefully putting all the books that I penned--in alphabetical order--on the shelf. It's the first time actually to have someone in the house who knows me. I mean, not really 'know' me, but knows Ko Mun-Yeong the author.
My life is just getting more and more complicated now. After being in this state for so many years, I'm still stuck in this limbo.
This limbo of curse and of finding my way out of it.
There is only one thing that I look forward to every single day--I become a legit person every 12 midnight.
And during that time, I get to do my stuff. I dress up, put on all my expensive clothes--Chanel, LV, Prada--you name it, I've got it.
I put on the biggest accessories on my hair and the longest chandelier earrings you could find. Yes, it's already pitch dark at 12 midnight but boy, my Rieti sunnies need some good flaunting. And nmy Jimmy Choo's and Gianvito Rossi's? They need to be strutted.
I nearly tripped a hundred times on that staircase when I'm in those pumps but if you want to be beautiful, you have to endure the pain.
Speaking of pain, I am now ready to inflict some pain on someone. I'm sick and tired of being in this state. I know that the curse won't be lifted by anyone anytime soon. So what is the point of showing goodness to people?
I really believe that--
"Yah! Whoever you are, I'm back."
Oh. He's back...and he means business.
"Welcome back, Gangtae. Did you enjoy your bibimbap?"
"You were watching me the whole time?"
Up until now he still can't believe that I can be anywhere everywhere at anytime and everytime. Aish.
"Well I'm not watching just you. I'm watching the whole house. This is MY HOUSE. So I can do ANYTHING I want."
Oh boy, now he looks pissed off.
"Listen--I am not playing games with you. We entered this property knowing that we are the only ones renting and living in this place. Should we have known that--"
He's starting to look up at the ceiling again. If he discovers that I'm sitting on his lap right now, he'll go nuts.
"Ssshhh. Enough. I've heard those lines a million times already. Yada, yada, yada. I'm so freaking tired of hearing the same thing over and over."
"What do you want us to do exactly?"
He suddenly stood up so I now have no choice but to do a piggyback.
This tactic should work now. My sexy voice has never failed me. Because it's sexy and scary at the same time.
"I want you to leave." I had to do an airy and deep whisper on his ear.
His eyes darted towards the mirror. Na-uh, I'm not there mister. I'm here, enjoying your muscular back.
Whatever happened to my spooky charms? It suddenly stopped working? This is the longest conversation I've had with a human being.
"NO. I'm staying. Sang-tae and I are staying."
I saw his Adam's apple move. He swallowed hard. Trying to maintaining his composure, I see.
"Ah. You're kicking me out of my own house now?"
"What's your proof that this is yours?"
"Find out yourself on who owns this place."
My arms are getting tired from this piggyback ride he's cluelessly giving me.
"Fine. But what's your name?"
"Mun-yeong." I guess there's no point in beating around the bush, right?
"Mun-yeong..." He stopped walking and plopped himself on the chair.
"Does it sound familiar?"
"I've heard that name somewhere..."
I bet his mind is spinning now. I really wonder where he heard it.
As if on cue, Sang-tae ran towards his brothers direction.
"Moon Gang-tae!!! Did you just say Ko Mun-yeong, oh? You...You said 'Mun-yeong', oh?"
"Hyung, y-you're mistaken. Go back now to your room."
Good that Sang-tae listened to his brother wihout any fuss.
"So now you know who I am, Gang-tae?"
Like a zombie, he said my name so sweetly.
"Ko...Mun...Yeong."
"5 out of 10."
"Huh?"
"I'll give you a score of 5/10 for being soooo freaking slow. Now that you know who I am, please pack your bags and LEAVE!" I'm pointing at the door as if he can see me. Maybe being animated would help?
"But we have nowhere to go. Where do we go? Tell me."
"You think that's my problem?"
His face changed. I think I hit a nerve.
"It's not my problem either! This is our home and we will stay here. And you can't bully me or my brother into leaving in the middle of the night to look for a place to sleep! This is all we have and we will stand our ground and claim this house as ours!"
Boy, is he so fired up now!
"Calm the freak down, Gang-tae."
"No! You are pushing me to the edge of my sanity and I won't tolerate your being pushy and manipulative! If there's someone here who should leave, it's you! Go! Leave!"
"Okay. Try to throw me out of the house once you are able to touch me."
Wow. He's really trying to grab some air and catch me. Lying down on my side while watching him doing some sexy brusque action is such a fun sight to watch.
"You're not tired yet?"
He stopped and sat on the floor.
"Can we continue this tomorrow? I'm tired. I need to rest."
"Hmmm. Okay. I'll give you a break. But just for tonight. Tomorrow you guys will leave, mmmkay?"
I made an effort to make it sound cute.
He stood up and walked away with no energy left in his body.
Finally, I'm back to being alone in this part of the house.
I only have a little time left...and just a few minutes before the clock strikes 12.
