• Moon Gang-tae's POV
Even if it's against my will, I free myself from her grasp.
Do you know how hard it is to control your actions when your emotions tell you to do otherwise?
Things have gotten complicated. Everything has turned for the worse. Maybe whatever I'm feeling is not worth pursuing.
I haven't been myself lately. I realized that my focus on Sang-tae is now shifting to other non-essential things...and people.
Omma requested me to take care of Sang-tae and lately, I'm failing in fulfilling my responsibility.
It has dawned on me that finding my own happiness isn't meant for me. And so now, I make this decision to eliminate things which are eating up a chunk of my time and energy...even if it means letting go of what makes my heart happy.
I can't bear for one more second to see Mun-yeong like this, crying in front of me, begging me not to leave.
We hear a loud knock.
A good distraction from this crushing moment.
I stand up and hesitantly walk towards the front door.
Who could this possibly be?
I cautiously open the door.
A man just a little taller than me welcomed my view.
Clad in black jeans, black denim jacket with white shirt underneath, he coolly greets me.
"Good...uhh...evening? Morning?"
"Who are you and what do you need?"
"Is the owner around?"
He tries to peek inside the house. I block his view.
"Who are you, huh?" I put my hand on my waist. He should already take this as a warning.
"I'm Hyung-sik."

He extends his hand. I pretend not to see it."What do you need and why disturb us in the middle of the night?"
"I'm looking for the owner of the house, as I've said earlier."
The nerve of this man to flash a smile at this hour.
"I'm the owner."
"Uhm...I think it's a girl?"
"Gang-tae, who is it--"
I hold Mun-yeong behind me and push her to the side of the door that's closed.
I feel her slowly disappearing from my hold.
I look at the clock.
1:00 AM.
This sinking feeling was unexpected. I could have spent one more minute with her even if all I would do is to say goodbye.
But this man just robbed my 60 seconds.
"I heard her!"
"You're just seeing things. I'm the owner and there's no girl living in this house."
"You sure?" He grabs a paper from his pocket. "Says here I should look for Ko Mun-yeong."
My heart dropped upon hearing her name.
"Wait a minute. Who sent you here?"
"Miss Jang. I'm renting a room in this...uh...mansion?"
"No. You cannot."
I quickly go in and slam the door but this guy is quite fast and strong.
His face changed.
"I've paid already a month's worth of rent so I will stay here."
How the f will we be able to leave now?
