• Ko Mun-yeong's POV
Moon Gang-tae is lying on his side, facing Sang-tae. At 3:00 AM, I slowly slipped myself next to his warm body.
It's as if he's always leaving some space for me. As if he's waiting for me to drop by their room, wanting to be held, wanting to be cradled.
So I fulfilled his unspoken need for (un)human touch.
'Occupying' the space next to him was probably the easiest thing to do.
We're like same poles who kept on repelling each other at first, never to be seen as agreeing on something. But now, I feel that we are going at our own pace, slowly evolving into opposite poles, soon to be inseparable.
That's what you call wishful thinking.
I can't go any further than what we have right now. I have disclosed a part of me to him last night. I was walking on eggshells as I spill to him the truth. Well...almost the whole truth.
The urge to hug him was a little too sinful, a little too much.
Carefully, I hugged the sleeping Gang-tae. Lightly at first, then tightly the next. He sleeps like a baby, not bothered by anything at all, not even by my touch. Not a sound nor a movement was made.
His back is strong and hard but warm. He smells like mild soap coupled with his distinct masculine aroma. I allowed the tip of my nose to touch his hair and a whiff of his shampoo is now my favorite scent.
All my senses are spoiled at this very moment.
He suddenly turns around and our faces are now just millimeters apart from each other.
I held my breath as I stare at this beautiful creature right before my very eyes.
The moonlight casts a loving glow over his handsome face. Curly disheveled hair. Straight bushy eyebrows. Pleasant-looking nose. Innocent cheeks that turn tomato red when he's shy. And a pair of plump, well-hydrated, attention-grabbing lips.
Seeing everything upclose is such a game changer. He is attractive and I'm kicking myself for not realizing that early on.
The memories of what happened earlier flood my mind. His strong hold. His comforting touch. His never wanting to let go.
I haven't been held by anyone else like how Gang-tae has caged me in his arms.
Do I need him? Does he need me? Were we situated by fate at the place and time when and where we are needed by each other?
I slowly retrieve my hand from his waist. But I heard him utter something...
"Hold me, Mun-yeong."
