Chapter 20: No Matter What's Coming (KMY)

You know the feeling when you dip the tip of your finger in water? That's how it all comes back.

It feels cold when the energy slowly eases its way back inside my body. It's not a warm, cozy, and comfortable return to my old state.

I experience delirious chills and sickening feeling. It's always a tug of war if I would like to go back to this sphere or if I just stay non-existent.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of this sh*t. But I will not leave this world without a fight. I will make sure that justice will be served.

Trembling and feverish, I painstakingly crawl my way back to the bed. My body is adapting little by little to the flow of energy.

Right now, it hasn't reached yet my brain. Because I cannot remember at all what brought me to this moment. What have I done again?

I hold my head with both hands while I'm in fetus position in my bed. I'm too tired to move, let alone try to remember.

I gave my body a few minutes to get used to the chills and this icky sensation.

How many days have I been gone? One day? Five days? One month?

"Mun-yeong, use your brain. Warm it up, come on." I lightly hammer my head with my fist.

And then it hit me.

I know that I'm 100% back to normal when I can move from fetus to sitting position in a snap.

I touch my lips.

I run my hand on the bed.

My fingers trace my lips again.

Did I just...W-wait. No. No. Nuh-uh.

Heck NO.

I did that?!

Sh*t.

I stand up and glide my way to the door.

Only one person can confirm what's on my mind.

I'm about to shout his name when I hear voices downstairs.

I go down quickly and I see Moon Gang-tae...and a girl.

I rub my eyes. I'm just delirious, right?

The view is now clearer.

Preparing some drinks, I see. You made the wrong decision to step foot inside my house.

I saw that. The side glances to Gang-tae. Ooh. You think no one would notice the smile you're trying to hold while stealing some good view?

I'll give you time to go. 10 seconds.

Easy. Stand up, walk away, and you're good, little girl. No harm will be done. Life will go on as usual.

He was shocked to see the girl suddenly taking a shower from the raised can of beer.

"Ko Mun-yeong!!!" He shouted my name.

He knows it's me. He remembers me.

I let go of the can and it fell on the table. There's a good chance that the wood sustained a few dents.
