As surprising as it was, during the month we stayed at the Glosse household, nobody came looking for us. My ankle healed although I think something about it will stay permanently damaged. As much as we wanted to stay, I had a feeling that we needed to move.

"Here," Mrs. Glosse said the day we left, "take this." She handed us a tablet. "We won't use it anyway." She also gave us a tote bag filled with food, water, money, and a large blanket. "If anything happens, please, don't hesitate to come back." We thanked them, said our goodbyes, then went out. We hopped another train that was headed to Zale. We slid into an empty seat and waited for the train ride to finally end.

When we were almost to Zale, the train pulled to a sudden stop. A man I recognized as Henry appeared and said, "Attention everyone, we have heard of word (A/N heheh, rhymes) that the escapees have been taking trains around to the other counties. We will be checking the first cars, then these. Please, remain calm. We apologize about the delay." Jason and I looked at each other with worry traced on our faces. We can't hop another train. We have to continue on foot. We need to sneak out. Silently, we got out of our seats and slowly went to the back of the train. When we got there, we carefully opened the door and jumped out of the stand-still train. We ran to the dirt road and kept moving. It seemed like nobody noticed we left.

About 30 minutes later we made it to Zale. I ran to the very corner of Zale where my family's house was. I knocked on the door, and Luke opened it.

"Evelyn!" He cried, "What are you doing here?" I shushed him, pleading for us to be let inside.

"Mom's at work, and Alan is, well, you know. Alice hasn't woken up yet. Who's this?" He said, pointing to Jason.

"This is Jason, he's my," I paused, contemplating, "my match," I said. Luke smiled, although I could tell who he was thinking about. His own match.

"And, Luke? Carolynn's alive. The city took her away. She was part of the rebel plan," I said. He looked at me, hope in his eyes. "I-," I began, wondering if this is a bad idea, "I want to become part of the rebel plan. We can get all those people out of the prison. Carolynn, Elliot, Alan," my voice drifted away. He mouthed the word. Alan.I needed to see him.

"How do you know about this?" He asked me. I explained everything from night one, including how we escaped and stayed at the Glosse house.

"They've been looking for you two since you got out. When the bombing happened, we didn't know if you guys made it out alive. Somebody hacked into the broadcasted news network and showed the planes dropping the bombs. Smoke and flames were everywhere. It didn't seem like there was much hope, and-"

"Evelyn?" A sleepy Alice said from the top of the stairs. "But, how?"

"It's a long story. How are you?"

"I'm okay," she said, walking to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"Here, let's go upstairs," Luke said. Jason and I followed. I laid the bag down on the bed I used to share with Alice, and Jason sat on Alan's bed. It was quiet, until I stood up and said, "The tablet! Luke, do you still have the tablet they gave you?"

He shook his head. "No. When they came for Alan they took it with them." I sat back down on the bed.

"The one my mom gave us!" Jason said. I smiled and reached for the bag and pulled it out. I turned it on and flipped to messages. I entered Morgan's tablet code and typed in a message.

Morgan, it's Evelyn. We're at my old house, me and Jason. We're okay. Tell everybody that we're working on a plan to get you guys out.

She typed back 5 minutes later.

I'm so glad you're safe. They've had us on lockdown. No classes, the only thing they let us do is eat, and even then there are still like 20+ guards. What happened to you guys anyway?

I finally finished explaining it to her. She wrote back how Nick was talking about a guy that came for him and Logan who's name was Henry, and how now it makes sense to her. She also told me Dawn got worse. She's been snooty towards Morgan and the rest of the group. We promised to catch up later, and figure out a plan. She figured out away to erase our conversations and block the officials from getting in, just in case they ever looked.

That night was a restless one for me. I want to join the rebellion. It was all I could think about. I had to get to Alan and Elliot.
