Something Sweet

Chapter One

At this moment all that i saw was the ball, and the net.

I blocked out the screaming crowd and it felt like the stadium lights were only shining on me.

Home : 3 Away : 3

Sudden Death.

Out of four shots we were three for three so far and Hamilton missed their last shot, so if i made this, we would win.

I took a deep breath and started jogging up to the ball, at first just going straight for it.

The goalie had an arogant smirk on her face.

Then right when she thought she had my plan figured out i gave her a smirk of my own, i siked her out by curving my foot left.

The goalie , thinking that the ball would go left threw herself to the left but of course since i have this move down pat and i know how to control the ball, the ball went right and hit the net smack in the top right cornner.

Seconds later I was greeted by the whole team running up to me and we all huddled and jumped in victory as a team.

Once again, i brought the team an other win.

In the locker room i looked myself over in the full length mirror and adjusted my green team jacket that said my last name on the back.

"Hey DiMaggio!" Coach York yelled out.

I turned away from the mirror to face her.

"Yeah coach?"

"Great job today out there sikeing out the opponent." She said.

I shook it off.

"Oh its was nothing." I said with a wave.

The rather petite blonde tilted her head to the side and looked me square in the eyes.

"Oh come on Sophie we all know your looking to be scouted." She said.

Well she had me there.

"This act your pulling saying that your not good at soccer is getting kind of old." She said.

I just looked down.

"I say it to keep me grounded, i dont want the compliments to get to my head." I admitted.

"Well your hell of a great player, you deserve to let your head get a little big once and a while, right?" She chuckled.

"Yeah, i guess so." I said through a smile.

After that talk with coach i met up with Meloney, Brock, Angelic & Maxx in the school parking lot.

"Hey Soph, great game out there." Maxx said while pulling me in for a hug.

Even though Maxx isnt my blood brother i still see him as my brother , since he's always been there for me since ive known Meloney , which is basically my whole life, but since hes getting married to my sister in April he can officially be my brother.

"Thanks Maxx, but it was no big deal." I said.

Angelic stepped up to me and pushed me a little.

"Gosh Sophie stop saying that, your like a little soccer prodigy." She said while flipping her pony tail on her shoulder.

I adjusted my soccer bag on my shoulder.

"I guess so." I said.

Meloney walked up to me and slung her arm around me.

"C'mon lets go celebrate your win." She said.

Everyone smiled and started walking towards Maxx's little car.

Alright that was chapter uno, i know it kind of borring but first chapters are always borring right ? Lol anywayss dont worry as the story goes one ittle get better guyss. Chapter 2 is already done and it will be posted tomorrow sooo until tomorrow !
