I was sitting with my feet up on the control desk and a drink in my hand.

From across the Batcave I look at my motorcycle suit that was hung up. The white powder and paint still prominent on the black leather. No matter how much I scrubbed and tried to get it off it was no use as it just made it worse. TV screens that I had were turned to various news channels or radio shows that were talking about what happened just yesterday.

"During the Motorcycles for Music charity event in Metropolis. A man who was then identified as Garfield Lynns but referred to by the media as Firefly disrupted the race and demanded the money that was fundraised. What came to everyone's surprise was that Jaqueline Wayne, daughter of Bruce Wayne also known as The Batman stood up to Lynns and didn't allow for him to get to the money-

~

"Is this a new chapter to The Batman's legacy. Is Jaqueline Wayne the new Batman? Perhaps Batwoman? She was donning a Batman motorcycle suit. Is this a sign?-

~

"The suit! The fight! The Batmobile! It's obvious that Jaqueline Wayne is taking over her father's place and I'm here for it!"

"But she was down to use a gun. It's a known fact that Batman doesn't kill!"

"Firefly had a flamethrower and she fought him with her hands! It doesn't hurt if she packs a little heat of her own."

"She just needs to get out of the way and let the police do their job."

I mute the TVs, groaning at their speculations and rub my eyes going to pinch the bridge of my nose. Despite the press conference that was held earlier today with Lucius denying every rumor that was out there the media was still at it as if they didn't have anything else to talk about.

I lean on my hand as I look at the screens taking another drink. I hear Luke's footsteps become louder as he approaches behind me.

"I can already hear my mom criticizing my form." I shake my head downing what was left in my glass as I see the news footage of me fighting Firefly.

"I mean, yesterday was such a shit show. It's like I forgot everything I was ever taught I just acted out of- anger, emotions. That's like the number one rule on what not to do." I motion with my hand.

"You were caught off guard. We all were. You wouldn't have known to prepare yourself for a fight. You actually shouldn't have even been involved in that fight." Luke tells me.
