Felicity sat on the couch in her living room. Her mind was splattered as she looked at the blank TV screen. Nothing on her mind in particular, just hoping that something would hit her. She knew Oliver was out in the city with Thea and Roy.. Looking for stuff for the new member of the family. Sighing, she got up and walked to her room. Maybe a shower would clear her mind, rid her of all these fears. After their.."Rawr" Felicity and him were distant.. She swore, SWORE, Oliver moved onto Laurel. Unsure, Felicity didn't feel the need to move on. She stayed away from him, avoiding him. She hadn't been to the Arrow Cave in 2 months. Not caring what they thought of her. After the tragedy with her 'father' she just needed time off.
Oliver walked through the mall along side Roy and Thea. Thea had grown a bump and Oliver was perfectly fine with moving on. He hadn't moved on to anyone else. He'd been talking to Laurel a lot about advice for partners. He wanted to move on with Felicity, something held him back. He didn't love Laurel at all.. She was just a friend, Sara was.... Gone... He had no one to go to for real comfort other than his mother's grave. She was always there for him. Oliver jolted back to reality as someone flew past them and snagged Thea's purse.
"HEY!" Thea yelled as she looked at the guy. Roy nodded his head to Oliver and Oliver began the chase.
Leaping over several benches and manuvering through many people he leaped onto the guy's back and flipped over him, slamming him head first into the floor. He ripped off his hood and saw that it was some young kid. His face was scarred and he was shaking beneath him. Oliver got off the kid and grabbed the purse. "Nice try." he growled walking away, feeling no pain.
He returned to Roy and Thea with the purse and let out a low sigh.
"You okay Ollie?" Thea asked as they made their way to the coffee store.
"Yeah." Oliver reassured her. Though he was far from fine.
Felicity was soon sitting in a plane heading to Vegas. She needed some sort of comfort, maybe her mom would help her. She despised her mother for all of her stupidity, but it was nice to see her once in a while.
As the plane landed she got off of it with a single suitcase and her purse. Her eyes instantly spotted her mom in a royal blue v-cut shirt. "FELICITY!" she heard her scream. All the eyes were on her mother and Felicity instantly looked away and walked to the cafe. Why did I come here again..?
"Oh my gawd!" her mother ran over and ran her hands through her daughter's hair. "You grew it out!"
Felicity shivered at her touch, but nodded her head,"I did." she replied lowly.
"Oh come on, you're still mad?"
Felicity felt her heart skip a beat.. Was she?
"Uh, let's get to the house. We can talk then." she avoided the question.
They arrived at the penthouse suite and Felicity put her suitcase next to the bright red couch.
"I did switch it up a bit. Remember that old green couch?" her mother asked from in the kitchen.
Felicity nodded her head,"Yeah. The one that me and Josh use to jump on?"
"Yeah that one." her mother came out holding a bowl of pretzels and two waters.
She sat down on a love seat as Felicity seated herself in the middle of the couch.
"So, how's work been."
Felicity shrugged,"It's been okay. Head of the IT department."
Her mom's eyes widened,"Good for you!"
Felicity cracked a small smile, it didn't show..
"So, are you going to bare me some grandkids soon?" her mother asked biting a pretzel.
Felicity's heart skipped a beat.. With Oliver? No.... "Uh.. No.. Not yet."
"YET?" her mother raised her eye brown and put her water down."Who's my son in-law?"
Felicity sighed,Why'd I say yet? "No one Ma.." Yet. :)
