Roxy's PoV
I stand watching Jasper kick Emmett's ass with a huge smile on my face, "C'mon Emmett," I tease, "I expect more from you."
I bend down in front of the dirt covered bear winking mischeiveiuosly.
Emmett growls, "Again!" snapping his eyes over to Jasper, agressively standing up.
Jasper smirks pressing his hands behind his back.
The scratching of paws flicker in my ear along with low growls of the wolves slowly approaching the opening we'd chosen in the forest.
I speed over to Jasper standing extremly close my hand laying gently on his chest.
Edward glances over to us all, whispering softly to Bella, "They're here."
Bella stares in awe as eight giant wolves clamber up onto the forest bank, their eyes circling, waiting for any danger.
"Edward," Bella mumbles, "Two more have joined the pack."
He sighs confirming her statement, "They're young. Very young."
Bella swallows deeply her eyes glossing over, clearly she was upset that so many people were risking their lives for her.
I step away from Jasper joining Bella, "Everything will be fine," I entwine my hand with hers giving a careful squeeze of reassurance.
Edward steps over to Carlisle, "They don't trust us enough to be in human form."
Carlisle nods, "Thay came. That's what matter," He then takes a few steps forward, "Edward, will you translate?"
Edward nods, standing close to Carlisle's side.
"Welcome," Carlisle greets politely.
Edward turns to his father, "They'll only watch and listen, but that is the most we can ask of their self-control."
Carlisle smiles thoughtfully, "That will be fine," He gestures his hand to Jasper, "My son, Jasper, has experience with newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them."
Edward sighs reading the wolves thoughts, "They want to know how these 'newborns' differ from us."
"They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more powerful than in our first few months of this life," Carlilse explains.
