Louis' eyes widen when they walk into a large, incredible restaurant. It's called, l'escargot.
He isn't sure why everyone is dressed up so nicely and talking in soft voices, but he agrees with himself that this place is too fancy."Harry..?" He whispers, slightly hiding behind the older man, making Harry chuckle.
"Yes love?" He asks, peering down at the younger boy.
"I don't mean to um.. say this place is horrible.. because it looks nice! But um.. maybe too nice.. Isn't this a place where you bring a date, and not your adopted son?" He mumbles shyly, looking down at his feet.
The younger lad is right, Harry looks around the restaurant and he doesn't see one family. Just a lot of snobby couples talking in quiet voices about politics or something like that.
"Well, honey." Harry says, pulling Louis closer to him, "I think you're right. But I also think they might have really good food here, plus, me and Liam were going to come here.. But.." He stops, deciding to not tell Louis that he and his boyfriend didn't come here because he was busy helping Louis out.
A waiter comes up to them and looks them up and down; he scrunches his nose up in disgust when he sees Louis and Harry are wearing casual-wear and not something formal. But he decides to ignore it and lead them to a table. So he does by walking them to a small table in the back.
"Hello, my name is Frédéric [pronounced fred-her-eak] and I'll be taking care of you tonight. May I start you two lovely gentlemen off with something to drink?" Frédéric politely asks, trying to not overthink that they have a pretty big age difference between them. He hopes they are just family, and not something more.
"Um.. Do you guys have Kool-Aid?" Louis asks shyly, Harry trying to contain himself from laughing, and the waiter doing the same.
All he does in reply to Louis is smile and say he will check if they do. Nobody can really say no to Louis since he has that adorable little face of an angel, not to mention those innocent, pure, blue eyes.
"I'll take some Red Wine, please." Harry politely orders.
The waiter nods and hands them some menus. Since this was a classy restaurant they didn't have kid menus, meaning Louis would have to order from the adult menu.
The waiter the walks away, leaving Louis and Harry alone."So, Louis. Would you like to try some escargots?" Harry says, still trying to hold in laughter.
Louis only cocks his head to the right and whispers, "What are escargots?"
Harry grins and says, "Snails, Lou. Would you like some snails?"
Louis' eyes widen to the size of the moon and he squeals softly, shaking his head quickly, "No, Harry! That's nasty! No!" Though he acts disgusted, he can't contain the giggles that spills from his lips.
The waiter comes back with a bottle of Red Wine, and surprisingly, a cup of red Kool-Aid. Harry slightly frowns but the waiter smiles.
"We seem to actually have a little bit of Kool-Aid, don't ask me why. I guess they expected you'd be coming!" The waiter cheerfully shouts at Louis, then leans over to Harry and mumbles, "There's a gas station across the street and they sell Kool-Aid. We went and got some real quick. It's not wine, don't worry."
That made Harry smile; it seems like everyone wants to please Louis, not only Harry. The waiter pours Harry a glass of wine and then smiles at them.
"Would you like to order now?" He asks. The two shake their heads in response.
"No, no. We need more time. But we'll hopefully decide on something soon." Harry promises, trying to get the waiter to leave so he could be with his boy.
