The Unexpected Hero

This is a little bit of background before the story begins. 

Diana Marie Martin's backstory:

Her mother died of cancer when Diana was 11. Her friends and family kept her on her feet, but she never felt okay for a long time. She had to go to therapy sessions to vent how she felt. She had a hard time trusting others. The doctors lied to her and said her mother would live. She almost failed 7th grade but pushed through. 

Then she met Jason. He had helped her. He showed her the light, and she became herself again. They became great friends. It never became anything more than that. She became a very intelligent woman. She balanced her life with sports and education. Eventually, she stopped going to the therapy sessions because she didn't need them. She lived her life to its fullest. 

In her Sophomore year of High School, Trevor walked into her life. She caught his attention when standing up for a 9th grader against the school bully. They started to hangout. A while later, Trevor made the first move and asked her out. Jason and Trevor became good friends and Diana still kept in touch with Jason as best friends.

Jason Spencer Parker's Backstory:

At age seven his mother and father got a divorce. He had 4 siblings and he was the oldest. There was no one there to help him. He didn't understand until later, but something was wrong. He went to his mom's one week and his dad's the next. He hated moving back and forth.

 In 4th grade, his father was in a car accident because of a drunk driver. It killed his youngest sibling. His father recovered, but there was so much emotional trauma. They didn't have enough money to get therapy, so he read books to escape reality. It was mostly abstract and related to how he felt.

In 6th grade, he earned the title of the fastest runner, and most words read in one year. He was forced to go to the other middle school. Not many friends went there. One day he saw a girl carrying more books than she could handle. He began to notice her a little bit every day. He had a few classes with her, but she didn't take notice. She was usually in the back being very quiet.

In 8th grade, Jason finally met Diana. They both had experienced pain and grief. They became great friends. In 9th grade, he got a growth spurt and grew to be 5 ft 10 in. He joined the basketball team for sports. He helped Diana through pain and loss. 

In 11th grade, he got good grades and became the typical nerdy kid. He met Trevor a bit before Trevor was dating Diana. He was the perfect guy. Sportsy, energetic, and loved her for who she was. They became good friends, but something was just a little off with him.

Trevor Cliff Maynard's Backstory: 

His parents are rich folks who have their fair share of enemies. The parents wanted him to have a normal life for the most part. They sent him to a public school. Although, he did take private self-defense classes and guitar classes. His life remained pretty chill with loving parents and siblings. He learned patience from his younger sister and learned a lot of self-defense from his two older brothers.

When he was 16, his parents let him in on all the drama. A lot of it was family and the lust for power. He was sent out on missions to create peace between his family and others. He met Diana in 10th grade when he needed help with a group project. They became friends for a while. Then he met Jason. He was a chill person. Trevor didn't have many friends because he didn't need them.

One day, Trevor asked Diana to hang out. They went mountain bike riding. They both had a great time and Trevor realized he had a crush on her. During that summer, he asked Diana on a date. He prepared dinner and they went stargazing. That night he asked her to become her girlfriend. Height: 5'11
