Kai's POV

I was on the way to hospital when I got a call from Baekhyun said mom already woke up. He told me he's having breakfast and he didn't want to leave her alone for too long so I just go straight to her room as soon as I get here. To my surprise, the first person I see is Park Chanyeol, looking all nervous while playing with his fingers like a boy trying to find the best way to explain himself to his mother when he did something wrong. Why is he here from the first place? Did he meet Baekhyun?

-"oh Kai.." my mother said, gesturing me to come in. I close the door and stand in front of the man I had a fight with six months ago.

-"Why are you here?" I asked but he never say a word, all he does is staring at me with his emotional less face.

-"Jongdae's wife gave birth to their first daughter last night. He came to visit them."

-"I ask him, not you mom" I know I may sound a bit rude but my anger is unbearable. How could he be so calm like nothing happened after all the things he did? I can't believe he's the same person I met those years ago. Does he even think about Baekhyun's feeling? Talking about Baekhyun, did they--

-"Kai you're here" Baekhyun opened the door and said with a small smile. I'm sure he didn't notice the man behind my yet.

-"I thought-- I" their eyes finally met. I  see how Baekhyun take a step back but try to keep his face straight and stare at Chanyeol blankly. Park Chanyeol on the other hand, shows some emotion on his face but I can not tell what it is. The way his eyes soften when he sees Baekhyun, it's not too obvious but still noticeable.

-"Baekhyun" I grab his wrist. Baekhyun keep his eyes on his ex boyfriend, neither of them look away. I whisper to him that we can go out if he wants but he just chuckle.

-"We already met last night Kai." Their staring contest never ends. You can imagine how uncomfortable we are in this room. Luckily, Chanyeol's phone rings he then excuse himself to pick up his call outside.

-"You met him last night?" He takes a deep breath before answering my question.

-"Umm, here, I know you haven't eaten your breakfast yet." He gives me a sandwich and water then go to my mother and check the wounds on her arm.

-"Yeri cried a lot yesterday. She kept hugging Kai's arm like a lost baby. " He said a small laugh, trying to change the topic.

-"Well, I'm glad to hear to that. At least  we saw them acting like they're siblings for once."

-"Mom.." I whined. We all laugh completely forget about the uneasiness a few minutes ago.

Author's POV

-"Shanshan" he said as soon as he closed the door. Looking around, he made sure that there's nobody here before answering the call.

-"Hey"

-"Sehun told me you went to visit your friends in highschool."

-"yeah, but I'll leave in a few hours."

-"No don't. Listen Chanyeol, stay there we need to find someone."

-"Find someone?"

-"Yesterday I heard my dancers talked about a girl name Kang Seulgi. She's a trainee in our company for 3 years, some even expected her to debut as a solo artist but suddenly she left. The last day they saw her she was crying and shouting her friend's name whom also a trainee but last year she disappeared. They said BossPark was the one behind her disappearing. I did some research and I found that Seulgi went to the same highschool you and Kai did, her family also there. Find her, she may know something about her friend's disappearing or even some dirty secrets of BossPark."
