The following morning Chanyeol woke up with sorrow. He opened his eyes slowly and the first thing he heard was Yeri and Kai's laugh. He knew they might be downstairs preparing breakfast, having some random conversations they found interesting. And if it was like a normal morning, Chanyeol would already get up from his bed, take a shower then put on his biggest smile before joining them but today was different. He didn't want to get up, didn't want to take a shower or put on his fake smile. He's not strong enough to face the deadly silence he knew Kyungsoo and Yeri would give him once he showed up in front of them.
You want to know how was Chanyeol's life in the Kim family right? Hell. Chanyeol's life here was like hell. Kyungsoo really hate him, that's not even a secret. You could notice how his smile faded the moment he saw Chanyeol's face. Since the first day, the big eyes boy has been completely ignoring his presence. He treated Chanyeol like air. Every time Chanyeol tried to talk to him or ask him about something, Kyungsoo would just walk away or act like he didn't hear, like Chanyeol didn't exist at all and it hurted the taller really bad knowing how friendly Kyungsoo used to be with him back then. Even Yeri, the little girl who's happier to see him more than her brother in those years ago, right now the only things he saw in her cold gaze when their eyes met were disappointed and hate.
But being treated like air and receiving some dead glares weren't bother Chanyeol that much since he already got some of those from his co-workers and friends when the rumors about his new/fake relationship came out, the main reason that made he felt like living in hell was Baekhyun. From the first second Chanyeol saw his face, all the things he has been hiding inside his heart busted out. Like a hopeless man who lost his way in the darkest night, Baekhyun was the light he thought he needs to survive. Little did he know, Baekhyun wasn't just the light.. he's the fire that would burn Chanyeol alive the moment he touched him. Like right now, his fire still burning inside Chanyeol's heart, little by little until there's nothing left anymore.
He was pulled away from his deep thought by the sound of his phone telling there's a new message waiting for him.
*From Kai*
-"___ ___ ___ ___. I asked Yeri and she told me this is the place where Seulgi works."
"Thank you Kai"-
-"Now you know where she works what you want to do next?
"I will talk to her tmr. If everything goes well I'll leave after that."-
-"Leave? What about Baekhyun?
"He's happier without me Kai"-
-"You want to give up that easily? Chanyeol you know you will lose him forever if you give up this chance."
"I already did. I lost him. There's nothing between us anymore. I just want to end everything quickly and make sure that everyone is safe after that I will go to Japan and live there."-
-"Will you be fine without him Chanyeol?"
"No, never.."-
Chanyeol let out a sigh. 'Maybe it's time to let go' 'Maybe we just meant to be met but never meant to be together' he thought while smiling painfully at the photo of his home screen.
