A/N: Tempted to make eechi scenes and misleading situations.

Today was day 7.
Hawks was beginning to get incredibly restless. His missions never passed the span of 2 to 3 days at most. He was quick. Fast.
No need to waste time but this mission was truly tasking his patience. All possible locations had been checked and still no progress had been found. Apart from moments where the air would suddenly get dense and the stench of killer intent was suffocating they wasn't anything else pointing to Sakura being Kanako's hide out.
He lazily scrolled through his Instagram, bored out of his mind. Most of the time he was stuck in the hotel room ban from leaving in fear of someone recognizing him and compromising their mission by making Kanako flee in fear.
He enviously stared at the outdoors and frowned at the people wholly bathing in the sun. In such a small room too his wings felt almost cramped.
Tint was still an issue occupying a part of his brain. He had yet to discover what secret she was keeping and in the confines of the hotel room his options in gaining Intel was surely limited. Wave had volunteered to do some digging after privately messaging him later that fateful day.
She didn't want to trust Tint just yet and he completely understood why. Even he didn't trust the black haired woman but Temari had this bad attitude of seeing the best in people and out looking their faults.
Then there's Temari herself.
She had never been presented as a problem and truthfully Hawks had never deliberated over her as he was doing recently. A couple of months ago she was just another girl he had to smile to, a junior in the office and maybe slightly a source of pity because of her tragic circumstance and the fact she now had to go under the strenuous program he went through under the hero commission.
The only difference between he and her was she wasn't as strong and she may never be able to fully control her quirk.
But he felt he had established a decent friendship between them. And he enjoyed it. It was both freaky and amazing at the same time. When she met new people she put on this distant and closed off look. She was shy and barely spoke. When she had recognized you as a friend and gotten to know you she turned spontaneous and free spirited.
Hawks was unsure whether to laugh his wings off or watch with amazement one night they didn't have to investigate.
He was on his phone and barely realized when she had dropped on her back beside his feet. He only felt her weight cause them to dip into the mattress. But that wasn't what left him speechless.
It was when he heard a 'pop' sound resonate in the room and felt pressure applied on his toes. She was cracking them. Boredom etched on her face as she dragged each digit and frowned if they didn't release her desired 'pop'. He could only watch on silence.
Thankfully, he didn't need to react to the ordeal because a call came from Tsukauchi and Genma informing them of their sittings of the day which surmounted to nothing out of the ordinary. But now...
She was distancing herself from him. Speaking less else it was of utmost importance. Why? He still didn't know. Just proves how difficult understanding women was. And he's surrounded by them.
"I'm back." Speak of the devil.
"Hi hi, princess. How was your date?" Temari pursed her lips together and the term but replied nonetheless.
"Exhausting. But fruitful."
She had left that afternoon to survey the town with Haru- aka guy from the bus. The two had gone out for lunch and proceeded to visit a few stalls for fun.
