{TRIGGER WARNING}
Elena's POV:-
I usually don't have anything to do on Saturdays except to wallow in self-pity. I was trying very hard to not think about yesterday. Alec's family was adorable and a part of me was jealous because I wanted that for my Mom and I. I know even thinking it like that was wrong but I couldn't help but feel that way.
It was noon and my mind was all consumed by what happened years ago. I pulled up my sleeve to look at all the scars I had from cutting. Thomas' face crossed my mind and I immediately started breathing heavily as I felt tears pooling in my eyes, my heart racing. My therapist told me to get out of the house when I started having a condition or thoughts like this but Madison was busy helping out her parents in their houses' renovations and I didn't have anybody else to hangout with. Alec did cross my mind but come on, let's be real here.
I don't know why I woke up early today since I had no school but I didn't want to stay in bed today, specially with such a beautiful weather. I thought about going out with Mom and was even going to propose the idea when I went to the kitchen at 9 a.m but Mom was leaving for the hospital to I kept my mouth shut. Now I was thinking if that was a bad idea. She could've taken sometime off if I suggested. You're stupid. We did however discuss yesterday's dinner at Alec's. She was as shocked as me when she found out who Alec's mother was. Why they were so excited about their kids dating was beyond me.
After doing to some exercises how my therapist suggested to calm me down, I was now sitting in my bed with a mug of heavenly hot chocolate, snuggled into the thick duvets. Autumn was here and I am not looking forward to Canada's winters. Another episode of supernatural played in the background as I surfed Instagram, occasionally looking up to the laptop. I decided I was going to go out alone. Gulping down the last sip of hot choco, I got up and dressed to leave. I could just go to the mall and get myself some clothes or unnecessary things that I would want. Dressed up in a grey jumper and some black pants, I tied up my vans and headed downstairs, grabbing my keys and putting my wallet into my pants back pocket on my way out. Just as I was about to open the door, the bell rang and I opened the door to come face to face with none other than Cameron.
"Hi? What are you doing here?" I asked rather surprised as to why he'd ever come to my place.
"Oh hey, nice to see you too", he replied sassily, pushing me out of the way as he headed towards the living room with me following him there.
"Um, hello?? What do you think you're doing?" I asked as he made himself comfortable on the couch. How were Alec and him exactly the same? I kept standing there with a raised eyebrow with a questioning look on my face when the door bell rang again. I sighed at Cameron at headed towards the door again. My gut feeling said it was Alec but I was surprised to say the least as I opened the door to Alec and Maddie standing there and smiling. Both of them said a little hey and headed to the living room after Maddie gave me a hug and Alec's hand glided across my waist, the questioning look still plastered on my face.
"Can I know what's going on here?" I asked making my way back to the living room. Alec and Cameron did their bro hug/shake or whatever it was called and Maddie put a bag down on the floor which I had just noticed she had in her hand.
"Oh nothing, I just thought we could hangout a little." replied Alec.
"At my place? And I wasn't informed because?" I asked. All I got was a shrug before Alec got up and placed his arm on my shoulders in the front as he whispered a 'just because' in my ear from behind before placing a peck on my cheek to which my response was a flinch.
Umm what the hell.
"I'm getting something to eat" he said before making his way into the kitchen. If WTF had a face, it'd be my face right now. I think he took it too seriously when my Mom asked him to make himself at home. Maddie's face had a similar look. I followed Alec to the kitchen as he opened the refrigerator, his eyes skimming over products in there before he sighed and closed the door.
