Elena's P.O.V:-

Alec's visit at the diner didn't clear anything up. It only confused me more. For my own good? What good exactly did he mean?

What I think about this is that William might be related to Jewel, or worse her-new boyfriend now. She might have sent William to me. For God-known reasons.

Finishing up my work at Paul's, I walked outside after changing up in the staff room. Should I tell Maddie about this? Should I clear it with Alec first?  What am I supposed to do in this situation?

Walking out I was greeted by Alec. It was literally unbelievable how he had the power to annoy me in a matter of seconds. I sighed, psyching up to hear why he was here again. I was in no mood more for any of his crap. And if he did try to find a way for us to argue I would honestly give him some of my mind, even finish this so-called relationship, we'd see how far he could spread my secret till. I was too tired already. From today as well as this.

"Hey, don't you get off at 6:30? It's almost 7:30. No wait- it's 8.", Alec said almost at the same time as I was about to speak.

"They had too many customers. I chose to help. They're paying me overtime anyway.", I replied and started walking away down the street towards home on foot. It was a 15 minute walk back home and I hadn't brought my car with me today. My hair tied in a ponytail, baby hair kept sticking on my neck because of the sweat. I couldn't wait to get into a bath.

A car passed by me but stopped about 10 meters in front of me, both blinkers on. Alec got out with a little smile on his face and went to the other side to open the front passenger door.

"Get in, I'll drop you home.", he said, the small smile never leaving his face.

"It's fine, you don't have to do this. I'll walk.", I argued back in a very low voice. I was depleted of energy. It wasn't an understatement. Just the thought about how I still had to finish my homework made me want to crouch and cry right here on the sidewalk.

"Well, I want to do this. You're too tired to argue anyway. Come on, get in.", he said in such a sweet manner I couldn't decline. Also, the sooner I reached home, the better. I got in as I sighed, the sigh representing my exhaustion.

Alec shut the door after me and ran to the driver's seat from front of the car and settled in. His smile became bigger when he faced me. He picked up a drink from the holder that seemed to be a strawberry chiller and moved it in my direction motioning for me to take it. The only response I gave was a raised eyebrow.

"I got you your favorite. You look too tired. Drink and get some energy and spirit.", he said forcing the drink into my hand.

"How'd you know this is my favorite?", I asked, genuinely confused.

"Your best friend seems to know you a lot. She told me." I was taken back a little.

"This action of yours scares me a little. What have you done? You did something, didn't you?", I asked.

"Okay, that hurts. Can't I just do something because I feel like it?", he asked in such a hurtful way I almost felt bad. Almost.

"That'll be weird, you know. You're Alec. Just thinking about you thinking of somebody else's feeling seems weird.", I replied. He took the time out of his day to ask Maddie about my favorites? He definitely did something. But I decided to drop it since I didn't feel like arguing and simply muttered a thanks before taking a sip of my favorite drink. Just a sip helped me regain a bit of energy. About 15% of it, at least.
