"𝚔𝚒𝚜𝚜 𝚖𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚒𝚝."

I stayed in my room until the morning practicing opening my wings and closing it. I had Valerian steel that I used to cut my skin a couple times so that my wings would show its reaction to it. It was bizarre. I didn't know how to handle the feeling of having white gorgeous wings behind my back. I wondered how Dyanna's looked like. Or even Gabriel's.

"Glad to know you've been learning a few tricks here and there." I turned to the corner of my room where Gabriel was standing. He looked tired. There was blood smeared across his forehead. I didn't want to imagine what he had done to have that.

"Thanks." I responded in shock. I gathered my courage and asked him, "what happened to you?"

"A few things here and there." Gabriel's white hair was stained with blood. It was hard to not notice it.

"Why are you here if you're not going to explain it to me?" I asked.

"You might not like my answer." He sat on the opposite side of my bed. He fell on his back and closed his eyes. His Adam's apple was sticking out while his muscular hands rubbed his face. It was hard to not notice his attractiveness.

I was sitting on my bed with my covers covering my legs. "You don't know me."

He opened his left eye with a decisive look at me.

"I killed another Alpha. Most of the packs live here in Canada, but I tracked this one to the forests in California." He watched the ceiling. "He begged me not to kill him, but- I felt so compelled to do it. To finish my task."

My insides were hurt for the alpha that had lost his life. I was angry, but I didn't want it to show.

"Why do you have to kill all these alphas? I don't understand? What have they ever done to you?" I yelled. My hands covered my mouth immediately after realizing what I had done.

Gabriel's corner of his mouth twitched upwards. He sat upright leaning close to me. "It's the poison that's running through me. I can't control it. Let me show you something."

Gabriel stood and closed his eyes chanting something to himself. His wings popped out quickly, but it was odd. His wings looked like it was partially  dipped in black paint.

Gabriel walked to my bed and sat close to me. His wings were huge compared to mine. I reached my hand over and touched the soft feathers at the end that were white. Most of his wings were black.
