Satisfied with how her second English lesson in class 1A went, Himari was packing her stuff at her desk in front of the class while the lively bunch of students, animated by the sound of the school bell, bolted out of the classroom like a swarm of bees leaving their hive. By now, their stomachs were rumbling, signalizing that they were more than ready for lunch - their teacher included.
Himari couldn't help the smile appearing on her face as she observed from the corner of her eyes how all of them attempted to leave the classroom at the same time, resulting in an energetic pushing and shoving session, which was eventually ended by a mini-explosion in the front caused by Bakugou that was followed by an agitated clamour.
For a moment, Himari considered lecturing the angry blond about the usage of his quirk in the classroom and a situation like this, but knowing that it would end in another tiresome discussion, she decided to let it slip for the sake of her nerves.
"Midoriya! Don't just stutter around in the back - say something! You are the class rep now. It's your job to deal with situations like this", a tall boy with glasses scolded his freckled friend before they eventually got to leave the classroom.
Himari's eyes followed them until the boys disappeared from the door frame. She easily remembered the boy's name – Tenya Iida, Ingenium's younger brother. The first time she'd encountered the boy he'd been around eight years old. He'd been nothing more than a little squirt that had run into her, into Gravitas, in the Team Iidaten Hero Agency back then. As the memory played in her head, she sighed at the realization that time surely flies.
The Iida family's agency was one of the agencies she'd collaborated with a lot because of their focus on teamwork on coordination. They valued every single person working on the mission, no matter if they were from the administration, support or hero squad – something Himari had always admired. Team Iidaten was also one of the few agencies that openly supported Gravitas' call to put the heroes' egocentrism in the background and focus on cooperation instead to raise the efficiency of their work.
On top of that, she'd always enjoyed spending time with Tensei Iida aka Ingenium since he was a pleasant and laid-back person. They were close in age and had always found something to chat about when they were working on a project.
But somehow, she'd ended up here. Instead of collaborating with Tensei Iida, she was here, teaching, or let's say, trying to teach, his younger brother Tenya. Life definitely works in mysterious ways.
"Hey! Ms. Ishihara!"
A giddy voice calling her name, caused Himari to leave her nostalgic trip down memory lane and return to the present, where she shifted her attention to the direction the voice originated from, spotting three of her students standing in front of her desk with shy smiles, which urged her to try her best and find the matching names to their appearances.
"Ashido, do you need something?", Himari asked with a raised eyebrow, relieved that she could identify all of them – Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, and Eijiro Kirishima.
"We just wanted to stop by and tell you that you're doing an awesome job!", Ashido said, her once shy smile evolving into a beaming one as she gave her teacher a thumbs up.
Kaminari spoke up to back up the point his classmate was trying to make, but he ended up losing his train of thought somewhere down the line, "Yo, Ms. Ishihara - of course, we know that it's only the second day of school, but we, uh, appreciate, uh-"
"...if you hadn't told us that you're teaching for the first time, we wouldn't have noticed at all. That's what he was trying to say", Kirishima added with a pointy-teethed grin, "There are definitely worse teachers here."
